WHO: Willow Rosenberg, Dawn Summers, Davy Jones WHAT: Returning from their dimension hopping. WHEN: The same time as Cordelia's rescue. WHERE: The Hyperion Hotel RATING: TBD STATUS: In Progress
Too much time had passed.
That was Willow's first thought as they appeared in the library of the Hyperion. Too much time had passed. What was supposed to be a quick little trip to find an Orb of Thesulah had turned into a several day (if not longer, she wasn't even sure yet) adventure. Not that it had felt that way for her, Dawn, or Davy. No, for them, several hours had passed.
Here, though, it had been longer.
Normally, Willow would be worried about Buffy if they had been gone for that long. She'd want to contact the Slayer and let her know that Dawn was safe and sound. This time, however, all Willow was concerned about was Cordelia. A strange thought in and of itself, but a worthy one. If Angelus had Cordelia, the Seer needed all of the help she could get.
Peter, Willow wasted no time in sending a telepathic message to the man, Where are you? What's going on?
It took even less time to get a response and she glanced at Dawn and Davy with a pensive look once she had. "They're on their way to rescue Cordelia now," she explained. "I need to put that Orb to use." She nodded at the entire reason for their trip - currently safely in Dawn's arms.
The perkiness that she'd had most of their time together had evaporated when they'd returned. In place now was a determined woman with the means to help a friend and only a little bit of time in which to do it. "Dawn, go ahead and put the Orb down. I'm going to my room to gather the supplies we're going to need." Her gaze flickered to Davy. While she wouldn't consider him a friend necessarily, she had spent some time with him in the other dimension and felt some sort of bond there now. At the very least, she knew he was someone to have on your side during a battle.
"If you want to help, that'd be great," she said directly to him, green eyes hard with determination. "If not, that's fine too. I know magic isn't really your thing, so I won't judge. But I have to do this. I owe it to Angel to at least try." With that, she disappeared - teleported out of the library - and returned a few scant seconds later with the various herbs needed to perform the spell.
