She hadn't quite got that he was teasing until she looked at his face. It wasn't exactly what she'd been meant, the mice had grown too big for the cages she'd kept them in, but it still wasn't her fault the cages had broken so easily, plus it was only a cat for Rassilon's sake, she really didn't see what all the fuss had been about. "It really wasn't my fault," she muttered looking a little sour, until his smile changed. "It's good to see you too," she replied honestly. She'd almost forgotten how much she'd liked the Doctor once, the memories faded by everything else that had happened between them. "Evidently," she agreed, he was here for one thing although since he didn't know what she'd become perhaps it was less generous more vaguely foolish, although he was safe from both her and the Master if she had any say in the matter.
"Perhaps it's easier that way," she agreed, aware she'd upset him, which only proved what she thought, companions were more trouble than they were worth. Although perhaps the Doctor made things harder on himself with his silly love of humans.
Pouring out more vodka she laughed at his pleading until the mention of thrashing at which point she got a very interesting mental image that distracted her enough to totally loose track of what she was doing and spill hyper vodka all over the table. "I don't think he'd much like the idea of being a companion," she said, very much hoping he hadn't just noticed her reaction, but knowing he would have." She wasn't going to say anything about the thrashing because well she was trying very hard not to become flaily really.
