He certainly couldn't blame them for that. The lack of hiring, as it were. Having an actress work shows during the evenings was not a very safe idea. He shot a concerned sort of look toward Mary Jane at the thought. Would she be safe? Perhaps she'd find herself a nice acting job someplace during the day. But, if he remembered correctly, most gigs tended to take place at night. At least the decent ones. He considered suggesting that she take on a career as a puppeteer for children since, yes, they generally tended to be interested in viewing such acting during the day, but decided against it. She knew to be careful. He just hoped that she actually was.
They lived in the same hotel. She would, at the very least, be around for him to keep up with. If she got a job, he'd find out. Then he would offer her further suggestion on being extra careful.
"You were definitely brave," he informed her. "Coming to a place like this while all of these bad things are happening. Willingly." He smiled. "You're a brave person. There's no doubt about it."
