Generally speaking, it took quite a bit to get Charlie well and truly angry. Frustration was easy. As was annoyance. Anger, however, wasn't something she came by easily. Yet as she glared at the man sitting at his kitchen table, she felt her temper reach a boiling point. She had been sent there to negotiate the terms of his contract with the firm. The Senior Partners were willing to cut him loose - for a small price. He, however, wasn't willing to pay and apparently seemed to think that he wasn't going to be harmed.
"Bad call," she finally stated as she pushed away from the wall. A glance to her right and his kitchen erupted into flames. A glance to her left and the living room joined suit. Her hardened hazel orbs landed on him and her lips quirked upward a bit. "You shouldn't have hurt those kids. It only makes my job that much easier," she stated and arched a brow as he, too, caught fire.
His screams of agony were short-lived and all too soon the smell of burning flesh made her take her leave. The flames licked at her arms without harm as she calmly crossed the living room and out the front door. She paid no attention to the handful of people crowded on the sidewalk, pointedly ignoring the gasps at the fact that she was unharmed. Charlie simply made her way to the sidewalk and lost herself in the crowd until she'd crossed to the other side of the street.
Out of sight of the witnesses, she cast one more glance at the raging inferno she'd created out of someone's home before continuing down the street and away from the scene of the crime. She didn't think anyone who had seen her leave the building was following her, but with the type of mood she was in, she almost hoped someone would try to stop her. She could really go for a good fight right about now.
