Now that didn't make any sense. Lex had never tried to kill Clark before. Never. He might have had his differences with him, but he'd never actually made a move to kill off the person that he'd lost faith in over the past few years. Of course, now that he was building weaponry to take on the Kryptonians, it was an entirely different story. However, he was still more than hesitant about using it on Clark. Or, hell, even Kara. Maybe the other one would go down. And Jor-El. Definitely Jor-El. But Lex still had a close connection with the other two and he wasn't so sure if he wanted to rid himself of it just yet.
"I haven --" And just like that, his ability to speak had vanished entirely. Breath vanishing from his lungs, Lex brought his good arm up and grasped at Jor-El's wrist. He tried to pry his fingers from his throat, but he knew that it would be pointless. Lex was a fighter though. So he kept pulling and twisting in Jor-El's grasp until, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Lana and his team burst into the room.
And then the corners of his vision began to blacken.
