Selene was not angry. She was defensive. That was her reaction because she was alone. Every person she encountered, every situation she got in to was taken to with caution because in the end the only one that could save her from it was her. There was no white knight coming to sweep in and save her.
Whatever his intent was Selene clearly did not understand. He did not intend to make more of his own kind but spoke of loneliness.
"Loneliness is a fierce monster to live with." She said softly. It had not pushed her to make more vampires. When she entertained those thoughts she was reminded of the night Alexander changed her. Although he knew his sons monsters and could not kill them, he did not approve of their choice to spread their curse. Selene would not do as Marcus and William had. "Do you require shelter?"
Why had she just said that? Selene rolled her eyes under her closed lids. "This is a church after all. What sort of benevolent immortal would I be if I cast you out to the streets." There was humor in her words. But she would allow no monster refuge under her roof that would hunt or kill.
