Selene stepped out from behind him. The clip holding her hair was removed and the long curls fell down. With the night air blowing through the windows it had finally cooled down.
Selene told the only truth she could, for now. It was partially true at least. Alexander's human family was in fact part of her own. "My family descends from Matthias (Mah-tay-us) Corvinus, the once King of Hungary." Matthias had in fact been born of the same blood running in her veins, only his ancestors were not riddled with the mutated virus.
"As this is my home and not a tourist attraction, might you give me your name?" Selene felt slightly on edge around the man. There was something about him that had her coiled and ready to strike. It was unsettling to feel such tension without provocation.
