Frustration, that was the only thing she'd felt in days. As stupid as it was to go out alone she didn't care. She needed something to be normal to keep from losing her mind. She'd been so worried she'd lost King, that Drake had hunted him down and slaughtered him like he planned to do to her. Then she found him, but it wasn't the same. He wasn't the same and she wondered if he really was King at all.
She walked around for a while before settling on the subway station. Nothing so far. Everything was quiet tonight. The exact opposite of what she needed tonight. Abigail needed a fight, to keep her mind off everything that's wrong. To keep herself from crying.
"Hey sweetheart, you look kinda sad. Bet I could give ya somethin' to smile about." She wasn't in the mood for this tonight and kept walking as his crude laughter filled the air. "Aww, givin' me the cold shoulder honey? Why you gotta be like that?"
She heard him get up and start following her but she wasn't worried, he got much worse and she'd deal with him. That was when she felt a firm grip on her arm, tight enough that it felt like the bone might snap. This guy wasn't human, but he wasn't vampire either. That was when she heard it, in the tunnels. The sounds of animals, dogs but bigger. Sniffing, howling. Abigail didn't have much experience with them and wasn't so sure how she could fair against more than one or two.
"See, if you had just cooperated, I might not of taken a chunk outta you. But now, well there's just no gettin' around it." She glared at him, she was armed and would fight, even if she didn't make it out alive.
