WHO: Sarah Williams, River Song WHERE: the Hyperion WHEN: Wednesday, July 20; early afternoon WHAT: E-books and company for River. RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress
After buying and downloading a mixture of fiction types to a flash drive, from Tolkien to romance, Sarah gathered up her recent lesson plans for Simon and Monty as well and headed to the Hyperion. In the scheme of things, a woman in Peter's computer was certainly not completely outrageous, but it was definitely weird. And, in the end, pretty funny, so it had been worth a few jokes to Peter before making her way to his room with her offerings.
To be perfectly honest, Sarah mostly just felt badly for the poor woman, as she had to be lonely and bored, stuck in there. Or at least bored. Sarah wasn't entirely certain how loneliness figured in, given that the woman had mentioned being stuck in a harddrive before arriving here. Still, she doubted the inside of a computer could be very entertaining, even with the message boards for outside contact. What could she do, play Solitaire all day?
Inside the room, the computer was on, as always, though she'd never really paid much mind to that fact before, and she sat down, setting the flash drive on the desk for the moment. She'd plug it in soon, but first it was good to say hello, so she pulled up an empty document and then typed into it.
