WHO: Sarah Williams, Drax WHERE: a karaoke bar WHEN: Tuesday, July 18; evening WHAT: Mistaken identity and mortification, ahoy! RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress
Sitting near the stage in the karaoke bar at the address she'd given to the man she thought was Peter, Sarah rested her chin in her hand to wait for him, curious to see if 'Peter' would actually follow through with the game enough to take a reasonable amount of time to arrive instead of simply teleporting. It seemed he might, as even though she lived close to this place, he wasn't there when she arrived. Her song was chosen for when he arrived, though the stage empty for now as there was never a large crowd here and most arrived later than this hour.
For now, she could wait and reflect over this most recent game. It was quite good, incorporating elements of his own life with this British character he'd assumed, so it gave her enough to play off of and she was happily embracing it all. The Briticism usage she definitely had to give him points for, as far as his act went, and she was curious to see if he could continue in person, though she suspected he could.
When she spotted the familiar face, she smiled to herself and moved to the stage, eyes on him as the song started and not moving from him throughout the entirety of it.
"Last night I went to see the gypsy And oh the things she had to say She told me I would meet a stranger A lean, handsome hero Who'd sweep in and sweep me away I sat there trembling at the table And smelled the incense in the air Someday you'll hear a cry, she told me A sharp piercing sound and when you look around The love of your life will be there! I cannot tell you how you'll meet him Or when you'll meet your love or where But soon you'll hear that cry, she told me And you'll look around."
When the song was done, she made her way slowly toward who she believed to be Peter, not stopping until she was right in front of him, just a few inches between them. It wasn't often she even saw this disguise anymore – and really, she preferred his face – so she was curious as to what had happened that he was looking for an escape as thorough as this, but she would act her part in the play he was creating.
"Hello, stranger," she murmured, flashing him a smile.
