She was more relaxed now, having found King, even if he had lost his memory, at least he was there. Booth must of been busy studying and looking for them a place because she hadn't heard much from him. A couple times she'd peek in on him, he'd either be gone or passed out with a book near him or his face buried in one. Poor guy was gonna exhaust himself. Maybe once or twice she'd pulled the covers up over him, but he didn't need to know that.
Abby needed some time to herself. Of course she knew going out by herself at any time was putting herself in danger, but she'd be damned if she let him control her by being afraid. While it was still early she'd gotten dressed, armed as usual, though hidden strategically beneath her coat. There was a cafe not far from the hotel she'd been to for coffee a few times and figured that it'd do for today.
Going inside she stood in the always long ass line and sighed. Anybody in there could be Drake, though she doubted it. No sense in being paranoid, but she was always alert. A few minutes later she was the next in line behind a woman with obviously dyed hair.
"I'd like a decaf, tall, sugar-free, non-fat, extra hot, no foam vanilla latte." Abigail blinked. What the hell was wrong with people they couldn't order a simple cup of coffee without making it a task? She snorted behind the woman and shook her head. "Why not just get water if you've got to be that special.." It was said under her breath but she knew the stuck up woman in front of her heard it.
She grinned when the woman made a displeased noise and made her way to pick up her drink. "I just want a plain old black coffee. Strongest you got. And a bagel." The person behind the counter had a look on his face like he was struggling not to laugh. Abigail took her coffee and winked as she left the line. Once her bagel was all prepared she went to sit down at the outside area and leaned back in her seat. The blond that had been ahead of her walked past her and sneered. Which only sufficed to make her chuckle.
Going back to ignoring the woman she continued to eat her bagel and sip her coffee, watching people pass by.
