Ryan was not a happy young man at the moment. He was cornered by two big men on the dance floor. They wanted to know how he got in there, when the doorman clearly didn't recall letting him pass, in fact hadn't even seen him before. Easy! He just appeared in the club. 'Blinking', as the term was called. Here he was, with one of the pretty girls.. getting somewhere. He could have sworn he heard her offer him to go home with her later. But then, this crap with the bouncers who had asked for ID that he didn't have. Then.. oh no, it got worse. He stuck up his middle finger and laughed. Then he looked worried. Really worried.
He couldn't teleport for some reason. He focused, thinking of a place he wish to go. Nothing happened. He did it three times.. and nothing! He was still standing in the club, with the two big manly bouncers glaring at him menacingly. He had no idea why his power wasn't working. Was it the bright strobe lights, the flashes? The floor? Or maybe the music being played? He had no clue. "Fuck!"
"That's it, buddy. Out you go." And they had had each grabbed him by an arm, leading him to the door. He couldn't get the knife hidden in his dark leather jacket. He couldn't vanish. His mind worked in overdrive, trying to recall a curse, but couldn't remember too much as he was occupied with being dragged against his will.
The doors open, and he had been let go.. the shove was strong. He lurched forward, tripping over his left foot and landing on his back. He stared up at the two burly men, who just laughed and walked back inside. Some of the people being let in by the doorman started to laugh.
Ryan slowly got back up, dusting himself off. "Okay. Last time I go back to that club again. Motherfuckers. Fine, whatever. I don't care.. your music sucked ass, anyway." He then vanished and reappeared across the street a split-second later. He sighed with relief at that.. he had been starting to worry a minute ago.
