But really, the conversation was secondary; Emma was focusing her telepathic attentions on Scorpius for the moment. It was the sort of thing she'd do normally when meeting a new person, after all - she would get some impression of who they were, what they thought of her. She didn't have to go all that deep, and it was really nothing outrageous. And this boy had piqued her curiosity more than most people did. The mention of a classmate sending him here as a joke... How would they do that? And why the hesitation around mentioning his school?
