When Willow had first noticed Venom's message to Spider-Man, she had been highly, highly disappointed. She had really hoped and had even started to believe that Eddie Brock could be redeemed. And maybe, she reasoned, he still could. If she could get him seperated from the entity that had created Venom, she was pretty sure he could in fact. But before she could really form a plan on just how to do that, she'd caught the attention of the recently possessed Sam.
Willow didn't know Sam. She wasn't sure she'd ever really spoken to him before, and she wasn't so positive she'd be all that thrilled to speak to him again once he wasn't possessed anymore. Willow did, however, know bad guys. And bad guys - especially downright evil ones like the demon that had taken over an innocent man's body - weren't going to stop until they'd gotten what they wanted.
Normally, she wasn't one for giving the bad guys what they wanted. That tended to be one of the cardinal rules of demon fighting. 'Don't give them what they want' was right up there with 'Don't die' and 'If it looks evil, smells evil, talks evil, and acts evil, there's a good chance it's evil'. This time, though, Willow considered to be an exception. Sam wasn't evil, the demon that had possessed him was. Sam was going to have to pay for the things this demon was doing and, well, if pitting herself against it helped get Sam back in control and sent the demon straight back to Hell... she didn't have much choice in the matter.
So after making sure to send a note to Jo telling her what she was planning, and after leaving a message at the Hyperion stating she had to step out for a while, Willow made her way to the address he'd given her.
She wasn't stupid. Far from it, really. So she didn't teleport directly inside the building. Nor did she teleport from the Hyperion, either. She picked an alley a few streets over and arrived on the far edge of the lawn in front of her ultimate destination. Reaching out with her senses, she was able to pick up on some faint magical signatures in the area but nothing to indicate anything that she couldn't handle.
Most likely just some kids, having a bit of fun and trying to raise the dead or something, she thought to herself and mentally shrugged the feeling away. She had more important things to worry about at the moment, anyway. A battle to prepare for. Who knew? Maybe it would be kinda fun, even!
Of course, in order for the fun to begin, she first had to encounter the demon. So with no further adieu, she called out simply, "So, uh, are you ready to do this? Not that standing in the creepy yard isn't fun because, hey, chuckles all around on this end. But I'd kinda like to get started already. I have plans later."
