"Hey, I'm here! Sorry about that!" Cordelia's voice rang across the lobby as she stepped out of the office across the room. She was dressed in a pair of form-fitting designer pants with a striped design and a low-cut shirt a shade of blue that made the blue in her hazel eyes a bit more noticeable. Her hair was pulled up into a simple up-sweep and she was carrying a file in one arm. She looked, for all intents and purposes, a professionally dressed business woman. Which, for the moment (or rather before she'd been informed that she was receiving a special visitor at the hotel), she was.
Placing the file on the counter, she crossed to Superman and Luke with a brilliant, traffic-stopping sort of smile on her face. "I was in the middle of a rather heated debate with one of the cities coding instructors. Apparently they received some sort of tip that we underwent construction without getting a permit first." With a roll of her eyes, she grinned once more. It was a true enough accusation, of course, but Cordelia wasn't about to admit as much. After all, how did you tell someone that 'yep, we rebuilt the entire inside via magic so it doesn't even fit the layouts for the hotel anymore' without sounding like a loon?
You didn't, that was the point, and so she wasn't going to waste her breath trying. Instead she extended a hand toward Superman and added, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Cordelia Chase. Welcome to Angel Investigations."
Glancing over her shoulder at Luke, she added, "And there's a Demonology 101 lesson we're holding tomorrow afternoon that you need to sign up for when you get the chance. Something tells me you'll probably be one of the star pupils." Tossing him a wink, she looked back to Superman and arched a brow. "So, rumor has it that you're trying to solve the mystery that is L.A., huh?"
