The demon slowly rose from the ground. Eyes black, the corner of his mouth turned upward as he took in the sight of the man standing before him. Or, if one wanted to be specific, the vampire.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here." He dropped the cloth to the ground, knowing well enough that if he smothered the vampire with it, it'd be pretty useless. It'd be a useless thing to use on a creature that didn't need to breathe. "I was hoping that someone more...well, more would stumble along. Not a vampire. Do you know how easy it is to kill your kind?" A stake to the heart. A little fire. It was really sad.
Spike rolled his eyes. "Do you know how easy it is to make a demon burn?" That said, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver flask. Untwisting the cap, he waved it in the air and stepped toward the pair. "Because I can show you." And just like that, he hurled the contents of the flask at the demon. Almost instantly, smoke began to rise from Sam Winchester's body. Snarling, the demon jumped back and started to rub at his burning flesh.
While the demon was busy attempting to recover, Spike quickly moved to help Kathryn to her feet. "We need to go. Now." That said, he nudged her toward the parking lot behind them and turned back to throw more holy water at the demon. Then he took off, pulling Kathryn toward the motorcycle that he himself had parked.
Spike didn't like to run from a fight. But when it took Willow, Peter, and a few other members of the Hyperion to force a demon like this out of a building, he had enough sense to back off.
