Who: Connor Angel and Katara What: Connor hangs around the hotel on New Years Eve. He gets to meet Katara properly. When: 31st December: Almost Midnight Where: The Hyperion Hotel Rating: PG Status: Complete
Connor had been spending a lot of time hanging out at the Hyperion Hotel, acting more like an ornament than anything else. He helped whenever there was a demon attack the gang needed help with, but he had yet to fully accept the invitation back into the gang.
It was weird, having two sets of memories in his mind. He had one set where he was a normal kid. Connor Reilly, son of Laurence and Colleen Reilly, older brother to an annoying little sister named Dana. In another, he was the slightly insane Connor Angel, son of the vampires Angel and Darla. Connor wasn't sure who he was now, but he was pretty sure he was done with the homicidal urges that plagued him before his biological father had killed him. He was also sure that he wasn't quite human, evident by his vampire level strength. For now, he was simply Connor, a little quirk in the universe.
Until he figured out what he wanted to do and who he was, he would continue to hang out at the hotel during the day and help out when he could. At night, he would go home to the Reillys and pretend that he spent the whole day doing normal boy stuff. The arrangement worked for him because for now, it was the best of two worlds. When school started up again, it might be a different story, but it worked for now.
At the moment, Connor could be found sitting on top of the reception desk of the hotel. He had finished polishing all the weapons in the weapons cabinet and was now reading a political science book he needed to read before he started the class in the spring semester. It was an odd sight, Connor doing homework, but the gang could do well to have a little normalcy in the place.
He had told his normal parents that he was going out to a New Years party that night and that he would crash at a friend's house and be home in the morning. It would have been exactly what he would be doing right now, if he was in the mood for it. Connor wasn't in the mood for it though and rather liked being at the hotel instead.
