But it wasn't Saint Nick making his way up and over the city of Los Angeles. It was a Twi'lek Jedi maneuvering her way to the Metro Red line. The moon was up and full and the Jedi's lekku trailed behind her in silhouette against the glowing orb.
Aayla leapt over allies and spanned incredible distances between buildings-She had her Jedi training and her connection with the Force to thank for this ability...
... Los Angles wasn't an easy city for roof top travel.
She'd decided to go this route because she could see the street lines more accurately and basically she had memorized the pattern to get where she was going to meet a particular turtle. She couldn't say why she was so insistent that they should meet besides her instincts giving her a thoughtful nudge. If anyone was going to understand her and help to explain the way's of earth then she figured he'd be a good place to start. It's always easier to know a system from the outside looking in. Hopefully he'd explain- If he could talk that is. For some strange reason she found that she could not. But, there were other ways to communicate as she'd found out through visiting countless planets and interacting with the people and races she encountered on each.
Union Station.
There it was. The "Subway". A subterranean mode of pedestrian transportation. Interesting. And....impressive. Digging through the earth to get from point A to point B seemed like a lot of work. The Librarian had explained that it was much easier than rearranging all the roads and it made for shorter distances.
It was quiet and not only because no one was talking for the last few hours. It was quiet because there weren't many people heading in and out of the large metal doors to get in to use the "trains".
Just because the people she'd met so far had suspended disbelief about what she was and how she looked she continued to maintain a cautious outlook without appearing suspicious. Her blue Lekku twitched as she watched for a turtle type creature...and she maintained a disinterested posture in the event that anyone else walked bye.
