It wasn't really all that strange for him, being here in this new city. Victor had done plenty of traveling while working with Oliver and the rest of the gang, so he had slowly learned to adjust to getting used to being in new places. However, at least then he had been able to leave when he wanted. And he knew why he was wherever it was that he went. He usually had something that needed to be accomplished. A LuthorCorp facility that needed to be brought to the ground or some terrible disaster that needed to be prevented. Now? There was nothing. Just him sitting around in his hotel room, counting the minutes until it was time for him to bail. It wasn't fun. Victor was the kind of guy who needed to have an agenda. Sitting around and wasting his time was not something that he was fond of. Even back when he was playing football, he always had to have something to do. It left him feeling irritated and restless when he was wasting his time away, and that was exactly why Victor decided that it was high time that he headed out and did something with himself.
That something, at the moment, was exploring. He hadn't spent too much time wandering the city since he had gotten there. Since he figured that he was going to be here for a good while, Victor came to the conclusion that it would only be right if he learned where everything was. That way he'd be ready in case he needed to go somewhere in a hurry. He'd gotten past a few tourist spots and was now heading through a small shopping center. It seemed like the place to go for some of the younger people, as there were a lot of designer clothing stores within the area, along with some popular food stores that he knew he used to enjoy visiting back when he had a somewhat notable social life. There were a lot of people bustling about - so many that Victor couldn't help but become distracted by them.
Or, if one wanted to get into specifics, her. The girl that had just walked past him with the dark hair and bright smile that he could have sworn that he'd never see again. They passed one another as they were both walking across the middle of a narrow street and Victor instantly twisted around, his mouth opening slightly as he tried to get a better look at the girl that he could have sworn was his ex-girlfriend. In that same moment, a car that had been zooming in his direction slammed on the brakes and skidded it's way toward Victor. Turning his head, Victor caught sight of the vehicle that was sliding in his direction and automatically put his arms out in front of him.
The sound of metal being crushed filled the air, and soon enough the car that had nearly run its way over Victor Stone was completely still. The entire front portion of the vehicle was crushed so badly that it looked as though the car almost started at the windshield instead of the front bumper. Arms still grasping onto the front of the vehicle, Victor looked into the car to see wide eyed faces staring back out at him. There wasn't a scratch on any of said faces, fortunately enough. However, the reactions that were erupting from the people around him gave Victor more than enough of an indication that it was high time he got the hell out of there.
Stepping away from the car, he turned away and quickly started walking toward the other side of the street. It wasn't hard to get through the crowd, as they all seemed more than happy to let him pass through without giving him any trouble. Taking off at a light jog, Victor rounded the nearest corner and ducked into an abandoned alley. Then he slowed to a half and leaned back against a brick wall and closed his eyes.
