"Ugh, you asshole!" The lanky blonde managed to get out as she felt a pair of razor sharp teeth sink into her arm, tearing the flesh. The smell of her own blood brought a wrinkle to her nose, a flash of anger in her eyes. She hated getting hurt. It was like a sign of failure for her. Quickly she tossed the stake into her non injured arm and gave a swift kick to the vampire's sternum, sending him toppling backwards into a tree. Not missing a beat Gaia lunged forward and planted the stake firmly into the vampire's chest, sending him packing in a cloud of dust.
"For the love..." she muttered under her breath darting over to the edge of the park where the streetlights offered some illumination. The bite was deep, blood rushing from the wound and she knew she couldn't skip seeing doctor on this one. It probably needed stitches and she was about three seconds away from a post fight black out. That pesky side effect of the bout of super strength and stamina that he fearless state gave her. Dark blue eyes darted around the street and landed on the oncoming lights of a taxi. She raised her arm to hail it. Satisfied that it seemed to be slowing down for her she pulled the ratty cardigan she wore off and wrapped it tight around her arm. She dug out a twenty from the pocket of her jeans and threw it at the cabby as she got in the backseat. "Closest hospital," she managed to to mutter out before the world blurred around the edges.
The next bit was fuzzy for her, her body half shut down in response to her earlier fight. She was vaguely with it as the cab pulled up to the hospital and the nice man helped her into the ER. The nice thing about being half passed out was it at least got you into a bed quicker so she did the noble thing and played it up after the feeling passed, faking it until she was behind the curtain. Once the nurse left saying the doctor would be right in Gaia sat up and took a peek at the state of her arm. She made a bit of a face at it, "now that's just gross," she spoke to herself.
