Who: Death and Eve What: A chance meeting When: Evening Where: An abandoned park or garden area Rating: TBD Status: In Progress
The day as a whole wasn’t turning out that great. Following a short cobblestone path that wound through a maze of waist-high shrubs Eve found her self in what seemed like a disregarded park. She sighed, remembering Ivy’s words; how the older woman was right in one respect about most people. They left anything that wasn’t exciting anymore for dead. The whole area was in disrepair. This and the recent teasing by several youths about being too dumb had left Eve a little more than upset about recent events.
The only thing that was putting a brighter side to the scheme of things was the strange calico butterfly using its curious little wings to move through the area. The only thing that grew there were more bushes; an unpleasant species whose sharp green leaves bore tiny spikes on each tip. They looked lush and welcoming from a distance, but up close they became nature's tribute to the art of medieval torture. Without regular pruning, they had grown wild. In some places they jutted out into the path, almost blocking it entirely.\
Getting past them required squeezing through bushy curtains of shrubbery, but as painful as it was to have a barb tare through material and skin, she was immersed in making sure she could see the little creature. That in itself made the treacherous landscape worth it.
“Wait up! I won’t hurt you.” She stated calmly. “Please.”
