Who: Annie Wheaton and Leia Organa What: Leia finally meets the girl trapped in the tower. When: Evening Where: Annie's Tower (astral plane) Rating: TBD Status: In Progress
Although the meeting with Luke hadn't gone exactly according to plan, Annie had walked away with an understanding of something that she hadn't really thought about before. It was true that she couldn't really help her friend. Mantis could - and would - of that much Annie was certain. However aside from offering Luke a brief escape into the safety of her tower, she was just as helpless as everyone else who cared about him.
There was someone else she could help, though. Someone who had also been hurt by the Bad Man. Someone who meant a great deal to Luke. She had a name, of course, but to Annie she had but a title.
Sister.
Having a sister of her own, Annie understood the meaning of that word. She understood, even if it was just at some base level, how much Luke's sister meant to him. And it was with this thought in mind that she decided it was time they met. Only, the meeting was going to be on her terms, in her tower. There, they would be safe. There, Annie could communicate with her freely. And there, she could get the help she needed to rid her mind of the Bad Man once and for all.
Sitting quietly in her room, Annie focused on nothing in particular. Her mind - which was somewhat lucid today, actually - easily retreated inward. Her powers went out, spreading like wildfire across the landscape of her mind. Walls formed, then a floor. A pointed ceiling, and that same large, pink-lined circular sofa. The window remained the same as it ever was - the blue skies outside reminiscent of a brilliant summer morning.
And in the middle of the tower stood Annie. Her clothing was the same as she wore in the physical world. Her hair was just as long, and hung loosely across her shoulders. The only really noticeable differences with the girl in this place of safety and security versus the world she was forced to live in daily, was a lack of Bunny... and the expression on her face.
A clear understanding of what was going on was present in her brown eyes. It was obvious she was in complete control of her senses and was totally in her element. Here, she had more power than most anyone else in existence. Here, she could help Luke's sister.
Closing her eyes, she searched for the woman's mind and easily found it. Knowing Luke as she did - on the level she did - it wasn't hard to pinpoint any of his relatives. Especially his own twin. Yet unlike Luke, Annie knew that she had to be careful with Leia. She wasn't used to things like this, and didn't take quite as much in stride as her brother. At least, Annie didn't think that would be the case. Really, she couldn't say for certain as she'd yet to meet her.
However, as her eyes re-opened and focused on a spot a few feet away from her, she hoped to change that. For already, an image was appearing. Almost ghostly, at first, virtually transluscent and clearly noncoporreal, but it was clearly the form of a person. A woman.
