Usagi was still extremely hungry. She hadn't found any good places to get doughnuts, so she decided to go with something she remembered in Japan; McDonald's.
There was a boy who was as enthusiastic about his food as she was. She smiled at him, and then got in line.
"I'd like a number one, as big as you can make it, with extra cheese, a fruit parfait, an apple pie, and an M&M McFlurry. That's for here. How much?"
She attempted to do the conversion in her head, and handed over the amount in yen that should have covered it.
"Oh my, I forgot America doesn't accept yen. I'm so sorry, I didn't even think to get my money exchanged."
Tears started welling up in her eyes. "But I'm so damn hungry." She walked towards the door flushed and feeling like a complete moron. Granted that didn't take much, but Usagi felt as if she was getting more used to being adult. After Mamoru's death a couple of years ago she felt so alone.
