A series of rapid text messages later, Alice stopped focusing so fully on getting visions of Bella or Edward and put the car back into motion. If Bella was with Edward, even though both should have been in Forks, at least she was fine for the moment. Hopefully. That wasn't stopping the flood of images, however, as though something about this place had just amplified the probability for danger. As she wove through traffic as speeds that really shouldn't have been attempted in this sort of area, she grumbled to herself, words both too soft and too quickly spoken to be heard even were someone else in the car.
By the time Alice reached the apartment, with a screech of tire rubber just as flashy as the car itself, she'd seen a worrisome amount of very strange things. Given that she was a vampire, that was saying quite a bit. Wherever this place was, however much it looked like Los Angeles, she was certain it wasn't. And that set her on edge, something only reflected outwardly by a firmer set to her lips, a clear change from her normal smile but nothing very troubling. It was her mind and her emotions, however, that told the real story of just how disoriented she was right now.
