Harry's smile was faltering, like he couldn't quite remember how to put all the pieces of it together. "It was worth it," he murmured, as his hand trembled under Sirius' tongue. "It was worth coming to this strange place if I could see you again. It wasn't fair." His eyes darkened again, but this was an older, wiser Harry, who knew that fairness was never guaranteed in life.
