Who: Jaina Solo and Luke Skywalker What: Spending some quality time together. When: Mid-afternoon Where: The wooded area where Jaina has the StealthX hidden. Rating: TBD Status: In Progress
Having been asked to keep an eye on Luke so his parents could run a few errands, Jaina had easily decided on the best way to spend the afternoon with him. She was going to let him fly.
It had only taken a bit of tinkering, a few things here and there, and by the time he was set to arrive at the spot in the woods she'd designated, everything was ready. The StealthX was parked in the middle of the clearing, its sleek lines virtually sparkling in the sunlight that beamed down overhead. Granted its weapons were offline - the shadow bombs having already been disposed of - and it would be virtually impossible for him to leave the solar system they were stuck in (not that Jaina thought that was possible anyway). However, she figured if her uncle was anything like his father, or her father, or her, at the tender age he was now he'd be thrilled at the simple act of getting to fly the machine in the first place.
For the time being, though, Jaina wasn't worried about that. She was too anxious to see his reaction when she told him he could fly. She had made sure not to mention anything about it, not even so much as hint at her intentions, and idly wondered what he'd think they were going to be doing when he made his way to the clearing and saw the ship for the first time.
Hearing him approaching, Jaina knew she was about to find out. With a grin on her face, she crossed her arms over her chest and leaned lightly against her ship. Then, she waited for Luke to come through the clearing, all the while trying to figure out how best to break the good news to him that wouldn't result in Anakin knowing instantly what was going on and showing up to stop the fun before it could begin.
