Although trying to park anywhere in Los Angeles could be tricky at best, parking somewhere close to a public event was pretty much impossible. So imagine Cordelia's surprise when she not only managed to find a parking spot fairly close to their destination, she also managed to sweet-talk the man working the lot into waiving the pesky parking fee. Of course, she had a feeling it had a lot to do with the fact that her companion looked as though she were about to pop at any moment.
Either that, or he thought he was going to get lucky.
No matter what the reason, by the time the clock in the distance began to chime six, Cordelia was turning off her Jaguar and opening her car door, casting a sideways glance at the woman sitting beside her. The Seer smiled brightly, the slight curls in her hair framing her face bouncing at the movement.
Already Christmas hymns could be heard floating over the parked cars and amongst the crowds that were also headed toward the spot where the Crystal Cathedral had once stood, proud and tall. It pained Cordelia to know that it was gone. It was such a beautiful place and the performances there were always so moving. Yet the fact that they were continuing on with their tradition filled her with some hope.
"I have some tissues handy - because we'll probably need them - and I made sure to phone ahead to save us a couple of front row seats. They aren't really supposed to do that, of course, but one of the ushers owes me a favor so..." The brunette shrugged and slid her purse up her shoulder. "So whenever you're ready, we can go claim our place in the second row, just right of the stage."
