Although Jaina now had herself a rudimentary hand in place of the one that she'd lost, she still wasn't very pleased. Using her lightsaber with such a basic build was near-impossible, which was bad, and to make matters worse she had no idea how she was going to train Andrew in the higher levels of fighting techniques because of it.
Still, she did have something in place of the stump that had been left behind, so her spirits were somewhat better than they'd been before. Plus, her lightsaber had been returned to her. While definitely something she couldn't quite understand the reasoning for, it served to keep her on the Falcon instead of on the streets looking for the man who had stolen it in the first place. Plus, she could still help her father with repairs, and that always helped keep her in a decent enough frame of mind. So long as she didn't allow her thoughts to wander to the anger she felt toward Vader, she thought she might be okay.
She just wished she could say the same for Jacen. Their bond had been dampened since he'd found her on that beach and, although she wished that wasn't the case, part of her was almost grateful. He was walking a very narrow path near the Dark Side at the moment and she worried, if he were to slip across, she might very well follow him were their bond still as strong as before.
None of that, of course, mattered at the moment. She'd taken a break from the minor repairs, and stopped herself from thinking about Jacen's own life choices, to meditate. Sitting cross-legged in the field that the Falcon was nestled in, her eyes were closed and her thoughts were clear. She was one with the Force and, since her arrival, truly felt as though that might be true. Which was most definitely a good thing considering any minute now Andrew was expected to be arriving and, in order to help him, she had to be in control of herself.
So she continued to meditate, relaxed and in control, until the moment she sensed someone else approaching. One eye cracked open and a slow, lazy smile crossed her face at the site of the person responsible for disturbing her session. "One thing I will say about this planet," she stated as she slowly rose to her feet, "is the beauty of the natural areas that haven't been overrun by modern technology. Or, what passes for modern here, at least."
