Her day had been anything but normal. Actually, these past few days hadn't been normal. First her aunt shows up, then her father. After thinking she could trust him, he tricked her. The scene in the fortress seemed more like a dream than anything. She remembered Clark smashing the crystal, and a flash of light, her father and aunt vanishing, and then everything was black. She was expecting to wake up in the fortress, or at the very least, Smallville.
However that wasn't what she saw when she finally opened her eyes. She was laying face down in what looked, and smelled like some back ally. Maybe she was in Metropolis? Pushing herself up, she dusted off her clothes, and looked around. If she was in Metropolis, it wasn't a section that she knew. In front of her was a brick wall, and when she turned around, she saw the exit of the ally, and people walking by. Probably the main street. At least she wasn't going to have to go far to find other people.
She had two options here. One, she could simply just leave, and head on back to Smallville. Kara could be there in a matter of a few minutes really. Or, she could figure out just why it was she randomly in this ally. Maybe it was something her father did. Maybe it was Jor-El. But shouldn't Clark be here too?
Deciding to be adventurous, instead of going straight home like Clark would probably want her to do, Kara ran to the end of the ally at a normal pace, and stepped out into the main street. Yeah, she definitely wasn't in Kansas anymore. Thank God. The streets weren't all that busy. It was dark, it was probably late at night. Most people were traveling in groups, and she could smell alcohol on some people as they walked by. Well this was just lovely. Where the hell was she? Step one, find someone who wasn't drunk and figure out where she was.
