Charlie was nervous.
Scratch that. Charlie was very nervous. She'd received the phone call shortly after dinner this evening, providing her with a time and location. It seemed that her hard work (and the hard work of others, as well) was finally going to pay off. The Senior Partners had decided it was time to gather together their assembled forces. For what, she wasn't sure, but she knew with this many villains in one room, things weren't likely to run very smoothly. Not until some sort of pecking order was established, at least.
Of course, she had no interest in much of any of it. All she wanted to do was put her skills to use and make certain no harm came to Lindsey McDonald. It was, ultimately, because of him that she was even here in fact. She knew if she didn't show, he'd face the fallout from it, and she couldn't bring herself to do that to the one person who had never treated her like some sort of pawn in a game she had no intention of playing.
With a soft sigh, the blonde parked her motorcycle and gazed up at the rendezvous point. It sure didn't look like much from the outside, but looks could often be deceiving. She was proof enough of that.
Slipping her keys inside her leather jacket, Charlie made her way to the large door that had once served as a docking bay area for the now-dilapidated warehouse. Shoving it upward, she stepped inside and glanced around. She couldn't see anyone else, but that didn't mean someone wasn't already here. There was no telling the sorts of powers that those assembled possessed. Invisibility could easily be one of them.
The interior, of course, looked nothing like the exterior. A large, round, wooden table covered the center of the enormous room. What looked to be comfortable, overstuffed chairs were lined up for people to sit in. There were also various couches, loveseats, and other bits and pieces of furniture tossed about.
Food and drink were laid out across a table in the corner but she didn't pay it any mind. She wasn't hungry, and she already had her own bottle of water. So rather than make a beeline for the refreshments (and not about to be the first to claim a seat at the table), she instead found an empty table near the furthest, darkened corner of the room and hopped upon it. Legs dangling idly, she took a drink of her water.
And then she began to wait for the others to arrive.
