WHO: Kara Zor-El/Kent & Oliver Queen WHAT: Looking for the shelter Clark is said to be at WHERE: City rooftops, not far from the Hyperion. WHEN: April 7th, evening RATING: PG
The past few days had been insane for Kara, and that was saying something when you were an alien from another planet. First she was in Smallville, and then she was in LA, a few years in the past, when she was still supposed to be in her ship. Chloe, Lex, Clark, and some guy who looked like Clark were all here. She was also apparently a comic book character, and there were people here who had met a different version of her. Yeah, life was never boring, it seemed. But the important part was, she finally knew where Clark was, to a point. He was at someone shelter. That didn't really do her a lot of good, but at least she knew he was safe. So, sticking with what she was originally going to do, she started searching for him.
That meant a birds eye view, scanning every building, listening, and getting a closer look if needed. She had no idea what she was looking for. A house? An abandoned building? Maybe the shelter was underground? Clark was way to hard to find at times. The first time she had found him had been entirely by chance as well. Was she going to have that same luck in this situation? She doubted it. But Clark was hurt, so she needed to find him, and with any luck, sun exposure would help him out. If not, she'd have to find a different way, because she wasn't about to let her only family suffer from a snake bite, of all things. And after he was healthy again, she'd throw him out a window for not taking better care of himself.
One arm out in front of her, it took no more than two seconds to fly back over a section of the city she had just checked out, and then started on a new section. She'd look all night if she had to, but having super speed, x-ray vision and the ability to fly helped out a lot. She touched down on a builds roof top, right on the edge, and crossed her arms, looking down at the view before her. It was easy to zoom in and see the faces of all the different people, none of who she was actually looking for. It would be really helpful if someone would just tell her exactly where to find her cousin. It would seem things just weren't meant to be that easy for her though.
Blinking, she turned her attention to a building on her right, which was the first building in this particular section of the many she had created of the city. Her eyes focused on the building, and then quite suddenly she was able to see through it. It was an office building, empty, except for someone who appeared to be a janitor, but no sign that it would be hosting many people, anyone injured, or that it would be any kind of shelter. When listening, she didn't hear anyone that sounded like Clark, though there were many noises. Cars, people laughing, sirens in the distance, a mouse in a trash can down below. Moving her head, she continued her sweep of the buildings in front of her, her annoyance growing with every building that wasn't helping her any.
Blinking again, her vision returned to normal, and she sighed, lowering herself to the roofs ledge and sitting down, her legs hanging over the sides. A large city, thousands of people, two versions of Clark, and only one she actually truly wanted to find. If it were possible to get back to Krypton, she'd re-write the training program she had studied about Earth. "Come on cousin, where are you?" she said to herself. Even finding Chloe would be great, because then she'd find the other Clark, rip into him about...well, just being him, and then get Chloe to the hospital. But there was no way it would be that easy. Finding the real Clark was what she really wanted, but the other one, she wouldn't mind meeting, just to see what he was.
If only there was sun, she wouldn't need to worry about him then. Flying out of the city to recharge was already proving to be a pain.
