Guy watched as they approached the door, not daring to ask if she needed help again in case she just told him to go away again. He didn't like it when she pushed him away; in the end, he had learned to give up trying. He was fascinated by the building she was leading him to. It was like many of the other buildings he had seen in this place, but he would never have imagined Marian staying somewhere like this. Still, he had never imagined she could be someone like the Nightwatchman either. Apparently there was a lot he had to learn about her. He would have tried to get to know her before if only she had opened up to him but she never had. Even when he had dicovered her secret, she hadn't been much more open with him. It was always just so hard to talk to her, but now she would have to make the effort. If she was right, they were stuck here together. She was all he had.
