Dean said nothing for a long moment, just pinned her warm body against the cold shower wall with his own warm body and let the cold water crash down on them, making things clearer. He held her more tightly, his grip on her slowly becoming less of a restraint and more of a support. If she broke free now, he'd let her run, and have no idea what the hell to do next, but somehow he didn't think she would.
"Shh..." He said a minute later. He wasn't trying to quiet her as much as comfort them both. As much as he wanted to think of himself as batman, think that he could save the world, whenever he tried to keep track of too much he felt like some lame ass game show contestant in a money tank grabbing blindly at one dollar bill then the other. He got overwhelmed by how MUCH he had to protect and eveyone suffered. On his bad days, when he was being logical, he realized that. He couldn't protect his mom or his dad. He couldn't protect his friends or family or Claire's family...with Sammy grown he couldn't even protect him the same anymore.
