The Hyperion was a pretty big place despite looking pretty modest on the outside. On the inside it was extended. There were apartments, the front desk. A nice lobby and everything. It would be a comfortable place if Jack ever decided he was actually going to leave his room. So far though he hadn't. He left once in a while to grab things to drink, eat, but other than that he pretty much stuck to himself these days. The company was welcome, and frightening all at the same time.
He didn't want to mess it up. He was trying for not complicated. For something fun and exciting. But could he still do it? He was so out of date practice he wasn't very confident. His skills were minimal in the dating areas. But he wanted to try. Sam said he just needed to relax, so that's what he was going to do. Not every relationship had to be relationship-y did it?
Finally he snapped from his daze at the sounds on the other side of his door. "Hey. You made it." Opening the door and letting her in, he looked out in the hall just to make sure nothing was outside in it. Nothing had followed her in. The hotel was pretty secure, but still it had it's flaws. After all he'd found it the first time by phasing through the front door. He couldn't help but glance at her, for more than a second. She was hot. And he grinned. A couple small wrapped packages rested on the tiny coffee table infront of his t.v. where all the games and comics he'd gotten were. "Um, here. I'd have given them to you earlier but I didn't know where you lived." Handing her a flat package, all wrapped up with pretty paper, and a second item in a wooden box. He knew she was into guns and weapons, so he'd gotten her a gun cleaning and maintenance kit. Also a journal with a cool image on the front. "I'm kinda bad at shopping, but I fought malls for them.." He trailed off with a sheepish grin.
