Cathy grinned, shaking her head. "It could very well have been a ruse," she admitted readily. "I didn't stay at the Lux much longer, under his management. That was about the time that we began work on the Welcome Center." The smile that appeared was natural and fond--looking back to almost exactly a year ago, nothing but happy memories came to mind. A trick of the mind, she supposed, knowing full well that there had been ups and downs along the way to where she was today.
"I could write a proposal," she offered with a wink. "And have it in her inbox by tomorrow morning."
