"No it doesn't. Shopping is sometimes a team sport." She probably should've asked if anyone else wanted to go along but post-holiday laziness had led to he impromptu trip. It had turned out all right anyway. She'd met someone she'd only talked to before and gotten an honest opinion. At the mention of New Year's Eve, she grinned. "But this one is new and it looks awesome on you. I think you need to get it."
She wasn't sure if there were any plans, aside from patrol, set for New Year's Eve, but it didn't hurt to be prepared. "Are you going to the party they're throwing at the Lux?" she asked. "I still haven't been there." The idea of a neutral zone was pretty cool. It would've been nice to have one of those in New York.
"That's what I've been told and now believe. I can't help but wonder what's going to be next. Think it might snow? Non-threatening post-holiday snow for a couple of days?" she asked, rhetorical but hopeful. "Although that would probably go wrong too. New York is used to it. Los Angeles, not so much."
She gave the outfit another studious look then nodded once, deciding that Cathy was right. "I'm going to. I need good clothes," she said. "And you should buy that dress."
