"I didn't think so, either. Not really. But thank you, it doesn't hurt to ask." As her own opinion had helped Vi, the Slayer's had done the same deed. Thoughtfully, Cathy gave herself one last once-over before smiling easily and resigning herself to the purchase. "New Years Eve is coming up," she explained with a wave of her hand. "I have a black dress, a red dress, and more office attire and sweats than I know what to do with."
The fact that as of yet, she and Lindsey hadn't made plans, was inconsequential. If nothing else, they would be celebrating with dinner and champagne. Besides, he'd never complained about seeing her in a dress.
"It's very good," Cathy replied with a laugh and the roll of her eyes. "Though, apparently, that could change in ten minutes, the way this place goes." And wasn't that a bitch? If the lingering effects of the gratefulness she felt toward Lilah hadn't still been in play, she would have added a scathing remark or two. Instead, Cathy gave Vi a 'look' when she caught her wrinkling her nose.
"Stop it," she stated, the warning tone good-natured. "You look incredible in that outfit, and if you don't buy it, I will." She smiled innocently.
