Lex had been about to rush at Clark to beat him down again. But the next thing he knew, he was over by the wall. And part of himself felt suddenly naked. The part of him that had the ring on. "My toy?! You.. dammit. Son of a bitch!!""
"Language." Clark stepped toward Lex, who had now back himself toward the open window. "That's right, Mr. Rogaine. Kojak called too, he wants his look back. You won't hurt me or anyone else. Your toy is long gone. You are the threat here.. not me."
Lex turned, glaring a dagger or two at Bart. "You know.. I'm starting to regret that time I tried to save your ass from that fence when you stole my map. Should have let him plug you."
Clark retorted, walking to him, "Yeah, what happened to that guy? The one who would call for help when Chloe was hurt, or who helped Lana run the Talon? Or gave me advice about Lana before you set your eyes on her, when she was just a friend to you and nothing more? To.. that little boy with full red hair.. you know, your conscience. I'm not seeing one little inkling of him."
"Oh. That." Lex flexed his fists. "He kept trying to stall me when I was after the orb, after my father died. I.. expelled him. Put him in the fireplace. He made me weak!! Now I am so much more! Looks like I'm gonna need a few extra cages for your people that I haven't met before. Never did get to see what happens when you stop for a second in that one, Bart. This city cannot abide terrorists. I'm doing it for democracy!"
"You're a diseased maniac, Lex." Clark grabbed him, holding him up a foot. "Shut up. Your tricks won't work, you're not going to guilt either of us. I'm going to end this. I'm taking back the power. This isn't murder.. because you already died. I want you out of my life, Lex!! Leave!" And at that, he gave him a shove and let go.
Lex fell back, bumping over the sill. He yelled out, falling down toward the pavement. But.. something happened. About ten stories down as he fell, there was nothing. Lex just swiftly faded, as if vanishing into nothingness. It would seem that the ghost was expelled by that action Clark had taken. Clark then looked at Bart. "He's gone. No trace of him."
