It was completely by random that she had stumbled across this issue. Some low level demon abducting children from their homes. Scattered, no relations, but all between three and five. All because this stupid demon was to sacrifice them to some other demon to raise him from hell. Because little demon thought big demon would reward him and give him power.
Moron.
It had been the abductions she'd heard about first, and she'd followed those leads until they went dead, or brought her to this bar, and to one demon in general. His plans for sacrifice were soon, but she wasn't about to let it get that far. Eve was getting all those kids back. Currently, she sat at the bar in the corner, watching the demon carefully on the other side as he had some drinks with a few of his buddies. She was relaxed in her chair, a pint of beer, half consumed infront of her. Her fingers sat light at the base of her glass as she listened to the chatter around her. Some people here knew what she was, most didn't. Those who did were keeping quiet. Smart move on their part. Where ever he was keeping the kids, he was being very careful not to think about it. At least not here. Damn demons.
From what Eve understood there, there were currently four children locked away, and he planned on getting the fifth tonight. Eve had showed up to the bar before he did, and made sure no one noticed she was watching him.
When the demon got out of his seat, she didn't move. She watched carefully as he left, slipping out the back. Remaining causal, she waited, her mind keeping tracks on his, the images of what he was planning racing through her head, strong enough to make her wrinkle her nose in disgust. Maybe half a minute after the demon left, Eve left out the front, and then headed off in the direction he was going, she slipped around the back, and soon enough had him in sights.
