Sam was coming and for whatever reason Jack was actually a little nervous. He hadn't had anyone come visit him because he was still pretty new at this compare to some of the other officers. He was still called him a rookie and "kid" by most of the older badges, hell even the chief. They were impressed with his high scores and stamina but he was still the baby of the presinct. He was at the indoor shooting range with his blasters which he'd found the other day buried in Sky's closet. IN THE CLOSET. His blasters with Sky's dirty stuff. How creepy. He spent hours cleaning them before he came into work that evening until they sparkled as much as blasters could.
He shot a perfect score. Another one and was pleased, it was written all over his face. He was golden with blasters. Handguns were something he was still working on. Which was understandable, where he came from SPD didn't use handguns. Only high powered light beam weapons. More effective against aliens and other intergalactic beings. Smoke rose from the weapons as he clicked on the safety's and holstered them to read his score. Perfect but a little slow, which made him frown slightly.
"Sky..I could kill him." Because of Sky he was convinced he was out of practice, though the weapons had only been missing a few days. It was a few days without practice and that was bad. That was something he couldn't afford. An older officer came in to tell him he had a visitor and Jack just grinned. "Can you send him in?" The officer nodded and tried not to appear impressed with the score lit up on the screen. "Good work son. Shots like that you ought to try for S.W.A.T." Jack only smirked. Been there, done that. Had the shiny weapon. The officer went out to get Sam and let him know that he could go on in but to put on eye protection.
