Astoria had started her day early, owling in to work that she wouldn't be in probably for the day, but she might come in later that afternoon. Thankfully, they seemed to be understanding about the people having the nightmares, and she hadn't actually taken a day off yet due to them, but with the vision on top of everything else, she really couldn't bring herself to go to work. Besides, that was time she could be spending on trying to find some answers about what she'd Seen.
She had still had to sit at breakfast with her mother after it became apparent to the woman that Astoria wasn't going to work. And breakfast was like an ordeal, with a few options for food, and the obligatory conversation with her mother about when she was going to get married and be a proper Pureblood? Really, after the night she'd had, it took everything in her to not frisbee her plate across the dining room and scream at her mother to leave her the bloody hell alone! But somehow she had made it through the morning without flying into some murderous rage, how, she didn't know. Finally, she was out the front door, and a second later had apparated to Diagon Alley. She was headed for the library, and it was already about 9am, she'd hoped to be here earlier. Once inside, she started her search, trying to figure out what kinds of people wore the clothing she'd seen, or what the pins might have stood for.
A few hours later, she was no closer to the answer, and feeling rather frustrated. She got up and replaced the last few books she'd been looking through, before she turned to walk away with a new one. She was already flipping through the pages, not paying any attention to where she was going, and ran headlong into someone else. She dropped the book and nearly fell over herself.
"Oh Merlin, I am so sorry!" she exclaimed, looking up to see who she had run into. She recognized him, but couldn't place the name.
