April 3rd, Ash and OTA
Who?: Ash and OTA
What?: First time meetings, asking questions, whatever!
When?: Late night
Where?: Outside, down at the beach
Rating?: TBD
Status? In process

Acheron had made no sounds as he'd traveled through the mansion. He felt the people all around him, felt their thoughts, their fears, their uncertainty about this place. The doctor from the future was still pouring over her notes, entering data into one of her computers about the place. If only she'd let it go, and let things be as they may. Oh well, he doubted anything could really convince her of the gods.

He slipped out the mansion doors, glancing up at the sky he had about another hour or two before another rain shower moved in. He breathed in the salty wet air, and slowly made his way down toward the beach. Ash tucked his hands down into his trench coat as he walked, humming softly into the night.

The sound of the waves crashing gently on the sand met his ears, and he smiled softly. Unlike other Dark-Hunters he was safe in the sunlight during the day, not that he liked the sun all that much, but still. The beach could be enjoyed just as well at night time, at least in Ash's eyes. He stopped, eyes scanning over the vast ocean in front of him.

Most of the inhabitants so far wanted, or needed to get home. What do you want me to do? He asked quietly in his mind, looking up at the cloudy starless sky. The clouds broke for a moment, the shimmer of stars over head twinkled at him. He scowled as he realized what he was looking at. Orion's belt. Rolling his eyes he let out a short breath, and turned his head. "What do you need?" He asked the person who walked up on him, not caring who it was or really what they needed.

“Bee~bop! Bebop! Be~pop! Be~sop! Be~fop!” Edward sang out as she walked along the shore having just finished exploring the entirety of the island. She grinned and giggled at her little game that maybe only she would ever understand. It was nice here, but it still wasn’t the Bebop. She was hoping to catch a glimpse of it while outside, but there was no such luck. She wasn’t worried though. They would come for her, eventually. They were probably just too busy with another bounty. She pouted at this. That would mean she would miss all the fun since she was stuck here. Well that could not do. She would just have to find her own bounty. Right here, on the island.

Determined to find a bounty of her own and have some fun, she headed back down the beach towards the mansion. She paused in mid step as she caught site of the tall man near the shore staring up at the sky. This was the first human she had seen all day. Maybe she would be lucky today and find a way back to the Bebop with a bounty.

Pulling her goggles down over her eyes she tried to quietly creep up on the guy only to jump and crouch in an attack pose when the guy turned and talked to her. She thought a moment on his question and figured coming out with the direct question would be the best. “Is there a bounty on you?”

Ash gave the young woman an amused smirk, "Possibly." He chuckled darkly, looking back up at the sky. The god, just watched the sky for a moment, not too concerned about the girl beside him even though she was in attack mode.

"What is one like you doing out here tonight?" He raised a brow, finally breaking his gaze from the sky and looked back over at her. Swirling silver eyes watched her carefully. Even though she was young, he knew what sort've powers that young ones could posses. Look at Marissa Hunter. She'd shocked many with her...powers.

He couldn't help but smile at the thought of his godchild, he wished he could see her, hold her and tell her stories. He needed to get home, badly. There had to be a way, especially for him there had to be a way. He would sit down tomorrow, think it through and find a fucking way back home. No ifs, ands, or buts about. "Where are you from?" He smiled softly, turning more to face her as they stood on the sandy beach. The waves lapped on the beach slowly, the sound calming and soothing to Ash's soul. Lots of thoughts were running through his mind at the moment, and he wished he could just shut down his mind. It would be nice, but he couldn't. Not here, not yet. Things were still a little too volatile with this situation.

Clasping her hands behind her, she relaxed and tilted forwards and back from toes to heels. “Looking for Bebop-tehbop-shebop.” She answered casually and grinned. “If you don’t have a bounty on you, then are you the scary space creature that bit Jet?” She still needed to find that think for Spike. It had to be around somewhere. On this entire island you would think she could find at least one space creature. Maybe Bebop would come for her if she found it? She missed Ein and the others. Mostly Ein though. And MPU! Where was MPU? She missed her beloved computer and programs, not having explored her room yet.

She giggled at his question as most found it obvious where she was from. “Earth!” Leaning dangerously to the right, she nearly fell only to continue the motion and spin on her heel like some chaotic ballet. “Are you from Mars?” He didn’t look tanned enough to be from earth, and not pale to be living on a non planet side or Venus. “Your bounty from ISSP? They not like Ed either.” She stopped moving around and stood right next to him innocently with her head cocked to the side waiting for his reply. It was fun to seem him in all shades of green from her goggles.

Ash raised a brow at her, “And what is this Bebop?” He canted his head softly to the side, watching her with an amused smile on his face. He laughed again, “No, I’m not the space creature that bit Jet. I’m nothing more than a man.” He lifted a broad shoulder, smiling a little over at her.

His brows quirked up again, and he chuckled. “No, not from Mars. I’m from Earth as well.” Another smile pulled up his lips as she performed an accidental ballet. He could grow fond of being here, of the people here. So many of them had already soothed his weary soul, and he didn’t know if he’d be able to turn his back on them. Damn him and his soft heart. He shook his head at her again, “No, as far as I know there isn’t any bounty on my head right now. I could be wrong though.” He didn’t like having to look down at her, so the god crouched down with hands hanging between his knees.

“I’m Acheron, but you may call me Ash if you like. What is your name?” He asked, tilting his head to the side with a smile.

“Some men could be Spo~oky Space Creatures!” She wiggled her figures in the air and tried to make scary faces before relaxing again with a giggle. Her smile only grew at the possibility of talking about her new home.

“Bebop is where Ed lives now! It’s this big ol’ space ship with a kitchen, sofas, trees, Ed’s computer, Jet, Faye-Faye, Spi-Spi, unn…Oh! Ein! And Ein too!” At the mention of the loved corgi’s name, Edward frown slightly and looked at the sand in her toes. “Ed misses Ein.” She then shook her head violently and looked up again with a grin. “We’re the Bebop team! Flying around space collecting bounties! Though, we don’t get to eat very often.” She put a hand on her stomach as it growled in protest of exploring the island all day and forgetting to take food with her from the feast. “Ed’s hungry again…”

She perked up at him asking her name. “Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky the Fourth!” She stated with a grin. “But Ash-Ash can call me Edward cause Ed is Ed.” Nodding, she was satisfied with the new nickname she’d given her new friend.

Ash could see the young girl’s logic in thinking that some men could be spooky space creatures. “You’re quite right, they very well could be, but I promise you I’m not one.” He smiled softly, nodding his head as if to reassure her. He chuckled at the face she made, shaking his head softly.

He’d met some very refreshing people in this place and it soothed his soul to see such. His head tilted to the side a degree as he listened to her with a smile. “Oh, that must be very nice to live on a space ship.” His smile softened a little bit, and he placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. “I’m sure Ein will find a way to you, in time.” He gave her a wink, and dropped his hand from her tiny shoulder. He smiled again as she started talking, “Bounties? Well, that sounds like fun.” He watched her, chuckling softly. “And you being hungry just won’t do. Why don’t we go to the kitchen and get you something to eat?”

His brows shot up at her name, “Wow.” He murmured, shaking his head and then laughed at his newest nickname. “Alright, Ed is what I shall call you then.” He nodded, standing and dusted his hands off. “Let’s go get you something to eat so your stomach doesn’t rumble anymore.” He started walking towards the mansion slowly so that Ed could keep up with his long strides. “How long have you been on the Bebop, Ed?” He asked, raising a brow as he looked down over at her.

Edward nodded and grinned in enthusiasm. This guy was nice and liked to talk. Maybe they could play a game of chess later on? She liked that idea. “Ein will?” She looked up at him in hope. Ein was smart. He’d find a way somehow.

She nodded at the idea of food. Food was always a good thing to have even though she was usually too spastic to actually finish a real meal together with someone. “Mmmm….” She tilted her head and put a forefinger to her cheek like she’d seen Faye do a lot while in thought. “A couple of months? A year? Two? Ed’s not sure. It’s been a while though.” How long had it been? She really couldn’t remember seeing as she always just drifted in and out of places at random. “Do you live here?” She pointed to the large mansion they were making their way towards. “Do you know chess?”

Ash lifted a shoulder, “Ein might. You never can tell with a place like this. Hopefully he will though.” He smiled, nodding slowly once again and canted his head to the side as she spoke.

His brows rose slowly and he smiled once again, “As long as you enjoy it, I suppose it really doesn’t matter if you can’t remember the exact time you’ve been on the ship.” He gave her a wink and then looked to where she pointed. He sighed, brows dropping. “I guess I do, for now.” He still wished that he knew the reason why he’d been brought there.

As he opened up the door, and took a step back for her to enter he nodded. “I do know chess. Do you play?” He asked, smiling down at her.

“Heehee! Ein is very smart.” She nodded in agreement. Even if Jet and Spike couldn’t find her, Ein would. She could relax and just have fun here while she waited. Maybe she could pick up on a bounty for them while she waited.

Ed looked at him in curiosity and a little sadness in her eyes. Maybe she had asked something she shouldn’t of? “Ed never really had a home before. Just place to place to place.” She clasped her hands together and swung them in a big arch till they were held behind her head as she walked inside the mansion.

She spun around at the mention that he played chess. “Ed loves chess! This one game went on and on and on for three days!” Her eyes grew wide remembering the excitement of her best chess game ever played. In the end she had lost. But the sheer genius of the other player was enough to make up for it. To play against him was an honor even if it was for a bounty.

Ash smiled softly down at her, “Well at least you have someplace that you can call a home for now though right?” He nodded his head, not minding the question she’d posed. It was just that Ash wasn’t quite sure what to do with himself while at the mansion.

He gave a good natured chuckle at her reply. “Three days huh? That’s a long time. We’ll have to sit down and play at some point, Ed.” He nodded, shutting the door behind them. Going towards the dining room he smirked as he saw food laid out on the table. “Looks to me like someone knew you were coming.” He looked over at her, and gave her another smile.

Pulling out a chair, he sank down into it, eying the food for a moment. He didn’t eat, he didn’t need to, but he was hungry from something else. He really did need Artie’s blood, and soon it appeared.

“Heehee!” She grinned as she pranced over to an open set and snatched at the good food, filling her plate with no troubles. Everything was so good here. The food, the rooms, the people. It was amusing and fun. She almost wished it could be her home. But on the flip side, she also wanted to be back with the crew. Even with those starving days of boredom and empty stomachs, it was still an adventure she had been dieing to go on for a long time. Maybe in the end, when it was time to move on, she could return to this large house and stay for as long as she liked.

Seeing Ash’s plate still empty, Ed cocked her head to the side. “You not going to eat? There’s plenty!” She waved her hand over the pile.

Ash watched her for a moment, smiling as she heaped her plate up. So much about this young Ed reminded him of his Simi. The only difference was she wasn’t using any BBQ sauce, at least not yet.

He shook his head, and laughed softly. “No, I’m not. I don’t eat, Ed.” He lifted a shoulder, “But you eat until your heart is content and enjoy it.” He gave her a wink, “So Ed, tell me about the people you are on this ship with. Tell me what interests you.” He didn’t really want to talk about himself, but if he could get her to talking about herself he could add bits and pieces about himself.
