The. Desk. Was. EVIIIILL! Hammy was panting, his little chest rising and falling rapidly, his tail twitching twice as fast. Even his eyes were twitching as fast as his tail, and the right side of his mouth pulled back from his large teeth in time with the end of his body that seemed to have a mind of it's own.
"Give. Me. Back. My COOKIE!" He cried as he pounded on the desk. Scratching at the narrow drawer in the middle of it where his cookie had been stolen from him. The drawer to the right opened, his cookie gleaming within it's confines. Hammy gasped, clasping his hands and shaking with love, before flying toward his sanity. The drawer closed, Hammy scrambled on the drawer handle. Yanking, pulling with all his might while screaming, "Nooooo!"
Another drawer opened, Hammy eyed it, before throwing himself toward it with all the speed he could muster from his little legs. Slamming against the side of the second drawer on the right, he squeaked in pain. His tail twitched, his body sliding down, the third drawer caught him. Hammy was enclosed in darkness and all he could hear was...cookie.
His poor lost cookie was in the evil desk!
As was he!
What followed was a series of drawer mangling, fur flying act of hunger that could only be classified as...maddening. Drawer opened, cookie flew out, just out of reach of a clasping red claw before it slammed closed, Hammy screaming. Cookie fell into another drawer, out popped Hammy from yet another drawer, scrambling to dig a hole in the middle of the desk before it shifted and slid him into another drawer, his cookie now on top of the desk...somehow. These proceedings continued until the gates opened.
The desk quieted, Hammy holding his dear tail close, eyes wide and staring, his whole body shaking. Finally he wailed, despair filling his voice. Then his cookie appeared beside him. Pouncing upon it he shoved the whole cookie in his mouth, then caught sight of the wet person. "Hubfamph!" Hammy pointed then blinked, right, humans were ok. He had his cookie, she couldn't steal it.
Swallowing his cookie he kicked the desk one last time, screaming and jumping off when it skidded toward the fountain. "I don't believe in you!" He cried, holding onto his tail and waiting for a drawer to eat him. When nothing happened, and there was only the sound of water on the fountain, Hammy opened his eyes. Looking up at the human he smiled, his lips twitching. "HI!" He shot a paw up, shook it once, twice, then it went back to holding his tail. "If you want a cookie you'll have to fight that! It's EVIL!" He pointed to the desk for a split second.
