The day had started off far better this go round for Dr. Grimm. She didn't wake up as stiff and sore has she had previously. Something was off, she knew this, about the mansion. Not only did it pull, draw, whatever beings and people to it, but it healed? She didn't like this, not really. She was a woman of logic, not of things that came out of 'fairy tales'.
She'd gotten out of bed, dressed, and found that her leg was a lot more stable than it'd previously been. She was shocked, to say the least at the slight limp in her gait. "Too odd." She murmured to herself, going to what was supposed to be her living area. It had been changed to the lab she had on Olduvai, and after a greeting to Lucy the skeleton she began working. Everything she'd gathered so far about the mansion she wrote down, and then typed into the computer. She needed more information. She had to figure out how this place worked and why they were all there.
Rubbing her hands over her eyes, she then pulled her hair up into a french twist and shut everything down in her room. Going out with a clipboard in hand, she locked the door behind her. Where should she start? The fountain, yes, Kakashi had the same feeling that she had about it, and she wanted to see if she could get any information from it.
Slowly she made her way down the stairs, holding onto the railing for balance. Her dark gaze stayed on the fountain as she made her way down. Once she'd made it down to the fountain, she raised a brow as she looked over the gates. "Purgatory..." She murmured, jotting down another note. She hadn't noticed that before, well she hadn't really paid any attention the night she'd entered. The gates had been the last thing on her mind the night she arrived.
She'd been so absorbed in her work that the knock to the door startled her. Looking over to it with wide eyes, she waited a moment. Surely someone else would come and open it. Then there was another knock, and she ran a hand over her hair as she worried her bottom lip with her teeth. Fine, she'd go answer the door, and probably get eaten by whatever was on the other side. Laying her clipboard down on the edge of the fountain, she made her way over to the door. With a small grunt, she pulled open the door and eyed the man who stood on the other side. "Um, hi?" She offered, giving him a slight smile and moved out of the doorway.
This totally threw her theory off about the fountains. Her brows furrowed into confusion. Could people just feel the pull to the mansion? Were they sent? This was a whole new ballgame now, and she'd have to start all over again with the new data that she had. Looking back to the man she extended her hand to him in greeting, "I'm Dr. Samantha Grimm."
