Arriving, Dr. Samantha Grimm
Who?: Dr. Samantha Grimm and Hatake Kakashi
What?: Dr. Grimm's arrival
When?: April 1, Year Unknown
Where?: The Atrium
Rating?: PG, probably
Status? Complete

They'd made it back to the surface. John had barely sat Samantha down on the grass outside the elevator when the sound of helicopter blades could be heard overhead. Letting out a long breath she closed her eyes, hearing the sound of John's voice over the whirring of the blades as he told her things would be alright. She knew they would be. Her leg wasn't broken, just badly sprung. She knew at least that much. She let out another jagged breath as she looked back at the surface elevator.

Duke was gone. Sarcastic, sweet, incorrigible Duke. She wished that she'd taken him up on his offer for sex when they'd been in the lab. Although she doubted that they would've been finished by the time the rest of the team had barged in. She smiled a little, willing away the tears that dared to fall.

She closed her eyes as she felt the wind whip up around her, blowing her already half down hair around her face. She wanted a hot soaking bath to cleanse herself of the blood that was smeared all over her clothing and her skin. She wanted to curl up with her brother in bed, like they did when they were younger and sleep. She wasn't asking for too much, no not at all.

Samantha opened her eyes, looking over at John as he turned back and smiled at her when it happened. Her vision blurred slightly, and she felt as if she was falling. "John?" She called out before she began screaming as she continued to fall. She landed with a thud, bones jarring and the sound of her scream fading. She grunted, pushing herself upright and looked around. There was a sound, metal slamming shut and quickly she turned her head towards it. There stood two gates, two very ornate gates and a fountain? She blinked, pushing herself up and grimacing as she put weight on her leg. Placing a hand on the gates she hobbled around until she saw a desk sitting in the corner. "Hello?" She called, grimacing slightly as she took another step. "John?" She called out her brother's name, tears finally streaming down her cheeks. "Anyone?" Samantha slid down to the floor wincing in pain as sobs racked through her body. She wanted to be home...not in some...where the hell was she anyway?

There was only the sound of the fountain in the lobby for a long time. No foot steps or voices to answer her. Everyone was off doing other things, the only greeter left currently battling with a dull blade against what little persistent chin hair he had.

Kakashi cursed under his breath again for not packing a sharpening stone and looked himself over in the mirror. Blood slowly mixed with the water still dripping from his hair causing it to run quickly and drip onto his shirt. He sighed and placed the kunai back on the counter. They would heal quickly. At least the small cuts were more comforting then the inching hair. He hated getting old. There would only be more of it to look forward to. Maybe he should go with Asuma’s idea and just grow it out. But then, he had a lot more and no mask to hide behind.

Shoving on his mask again, he grabbed a towel and worked on drying his hair off while exiting his room to look out over the railing. The view from so high up just made him feel like slipping and falling wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Maybe if he got hurt enough he could go home? He sighed and leaned his elbows against the railing ignoring the towel now draped over his head, his silver hair still dripping and a mess hanging in his face and covering his left eye. The least this place could provide was some excitement. That’s when it hit him. That well known tint in the air pricking his senses. Blood!

Quickly he surveyed the hallway on either side before looking down and inspecting everywhere. From his view point, he easily spotted someone on the floor near the front desk. Wasting no time he sprinted down the stairs to the ground floor only to slow and became more cautious as he drew closer. Without the other two around he couldn’t be sure if the person was friend of foe.

Gaining his trademark slouch, he shoved his hands into his pockets and strolled a little closer. “Ano….Are you alright?” He scratched the back of his head only to realizing the towel was still draped over it. “Sorry, I would have been here a bit sooner, but see the shower was possessed and tried to attack me.” He looked down to see if she even understood what he was saying.

Samantha had begun to believe that she'd been pulled to a place where there was no hope. After ten long years she'd finally been reunited with her brother, only to have him taken away from her after such a short time.

Slowly, but surely her sobs did subside into small hiccups. She closed her eyes, willing herself to return back home. She needed to let John know she was alright, that she was ok, and that he was ok with the new chromosome running through his body.

She couldn't believe this. Her logical mind tried to run though all sorts of possibilities as to how and why she was here. The Ark expanded somehow from under the ground and pulled her to another place. Yes! That HAD to have been it. Now, how to get back? That was the next question.

She jumped as she heard a voice, she hadn't even heard the man approach. Samantha eyed him warily, reaching up to wipe the remnants of her tears away. "No, I'm not alright." She shook her head, raising a brow as he gave her an excuse for not apparently coming down to meet up with her sooner. Her brows furrowed, "What?" She asked him and shook her head, "Look, I need to get back to Earth. What planet am I on, and where is the ark?" She gave him a pointed look, shifting a little off her injured leg. She closed her eyes, trying to figure out how the ark could've expanded. "There's no way that it could've..." She mused a loud, mostly to herself.

"What year is it? Where and why am I here?" She opened up her eyes, looking back up at him knowing she'd just asked those questions moments earlier. She didn't care, she needed to hear his answers again. "I'm...Dr. Samantha Grimm by the way. My leg's sprung, I don't think I've broken any bones but I could be wrong." She leaned her head back against the cool metal of the gate, stretching her leg out with a grunt of pain.

Kakashi waited patiently for her reply ignoring the signs of crying knowing the woman wouldn’t appreciate it being pointed out or stared at. Obviously from her state she hadn’t been pulled to the mansion during a good time. Maybe it was for the best that she was here. “Afraid I do not know what an Ark is.” She definitely wasn’t alright. Blood, something wrong with her leg, stressed too unless she was always so snappy.

“You are on Earth. As far as I know anyway.” He shrugged and then thought for a second. What year was it? He never really paid attention to the calendar much, just living day by day, event to event. Even if he knew what year it was at home, he highly doubted it would be the same in this place. “I am not sure on the year. I only just arrived here myself not long ago.”

He reached into his pocket and pulled out some gauze he was originally going to use to cover his eye. “Sit. I can wrap that for you. I do not know if we have any pain medications here. You may just have to deal with that for a little while.” He offered the gauze, holding both hands out so she could see there was nothing else in them. “My name is Kakashi. Welcome to the mansion….is what I should probably be saying, but I do not know if you can consider it a ‘welcoming’ being stuck here.”

Samantha's brows furrowed almost touching. Raising her hands she held them near each other as if she was holding a ball. "It's a teleportation device. It looks like a ball of iridescent fluid when it's activated. It's used to travel between planets, it was discovered the year 2026." She let out a breath, dropping one hand into her lap and ran the other one over her hair.

She glanced up at him as he mentioned Earth. "Good, that's where I was when I was brought here." She still wished she knew exactly where here was, but for right now the humming pain in her leg wasn't going to let her mind wander too far. Closing her eyes once again she thought for a moment, "Well, if you don't know what the Ark is then...either the Ark has been destroyed and all mentions of it are gone. Or, it hasn't been found and I somehow managed to come back to the past. Where I was at it was the year 2046." Opening her eyes she looked back up at him, brows still furrowed slightly.

Her eyes flicked to his hands for a moment, and she nodded. "After the day I've had, I think I just want to sleep." She shook her head, taking in a deep breath as she shifted for him to gain better access to her leg. "I don't find it welcoming, now if it'd happened an hour earlier, maybe. I'd be worried about my brother, but...I think I would have taken this over those monsters any day." She shuddered visibly, and then looked away. She wouldn't cry again, no she couldn't cry.

"Thank you, Kakashi." She smiled at him, and took a moment to glance around before he started working on her leg. "I hope there are some painkillers. I feel that I'll need them to sleep tonight." She gave a short laugh and leaned her head back against the gates again.

Kakashi shook his head at the description. “I have seen things like that. But….no one has traveled to other planets.” He was reminded of the one hidden village set on studying the stares and planets no one could ever reach. This person must be from yet another very different place then his. It just seemed so impossible for one to be traveling from planet to planet. Was there really a jutsu that could allow them to do this? Maybe in her language a planet was something very different? He shrugged at the mention of the years. “Sorry. I never really paid much attention to the year.”

Reaching forward slowly as to not seem threatening in any way, he carefully lifted the end of her clothes so he could work on giving the leg the best wrap he could. He’d need to get more gauze and some tap to really set it in place properly. For now, a knot would have to do. “Do you think you can walk well enough to get up some stairs? There should be a room already set for you since you got here.” He glanced about once finished and quickly walked over to the desk remembering the maps in the draw. Pulling it out he glanced around for any signs of a key. There had to be one there somewhere. He quickly found one he hoped was her’s and came back over holding the map and key out to her. “Is this your name on here?” He held the key up, unable to read the writing on it.

“I have something in my pack that could work for the pain, but it was made for an invalid about to go comatose from it.” The heavy duty drugs he still had hidden in his vest were from back during his anbu days, when he use to overuse the sharingan day in and day out. He never had to use them really. Only the sleeping aid. He liked the pain. It reminded him he was still alive back then. “Oh, here.” He grabbed the towel off his head and handed it to her. “I was just using it to dry my hair. It should still be wet enough so you can wipe some of the blood off.” He didn’t like the sounds of monsters and hoped they wouldn’t be able to follow her.

Sam's brows knitted again into confusion. "Where are you from?" She asked, tilting her head slightly to the side. There were many more questions she wanted to ask, but right now she didn't think it was the time or place to ask such questions. She looked back at him, and thought for a moment. "I think I've somehow managed to get into the past." She groaned, rubbing her hands over her face.

She nodded, "Only if you'll help me. I don't think I can make it up them by myself." Samantha was generally a strong woman, who could take care of herself but right now she felt like she was about to fall apart into a million different pieces. She winced, gritting her teeth through the pain. She'd been in far worse pain before, or at least she'd thought she had. Right now her system was on overload so it could be far worse than she thought it was.

Watchful eyes followed Kakashi's every move as he went over to the desk. As he returned and held out the key to her, she eyed it for a moment before she took it from him. She nodded slowly, "Yes, it is." Written in gold across the plastic key chain was her name. "What's going on here?" There was a slight tone of panic in her voice, and she looked back up to Kakashi.

Her brow shot up and she shook her head, "If there's any advil or something generic in the place I'd rather have it." She didn't know if she trusted him or not, but he'd yet to give her any reason to not trust him. She took the towel from him, murmuring a slight thanks as she began using it to wipe off what blood she could see on her arms. She wiped the towel over her face, feeling somewhat better but still highly confused.

Taking a moment, Kakashi responded to her question carefully. “Not here.” He really couldn’t think of a way to describe his home without giving out too many details. “I come from the land behind the leaves.” He looked at her giving his typical crinked up eye smile. The idea of her coming from the future, he wasn’t sure if she could have obtain a head injury on top of her leg one without her knowing. The idea of it was more outlandish then the traveling between planets.

He nodded and held out a hand for support allowing her to make the move as to how she wanted him to help her walk. “On the map, there should be a room with your name on it. Which floor does it have you on? We can walk there as fast as you feel you need to go.”

Kakashi cocked his head to the side in response to the foreign name she mentioned. “Aduwuu....?” He shook his head giving up on even trying to pernounce it correctly. “I do not have anything weaker. It is possible that some may be ready for you in your room.” He remembered all that he found in his own and the draws he was still hesitant to investigate. “None of us know what is going on. Ashu-san feels that Gods are wanting to mess with us. I do not know if I agree. But something with power is keeping us here.”

Samantha narrowed her gaze at him, studying him as if she was studying something under a microscope. She didn't know if she could trust him or not. She wasn't sure. Her leg hurt, and a slow throbbing pain had started behind her eyes. Her brows rose slightly. The land behind the leaves? She thought to herself, and then nodded. "Alright, I have no idea of the place you talk about so...I guess I have to believe you huh?"

Taking his hand she pulled herself up, wincing slightly as she tested her weight on her leg. She listened to his words carefully and shifted her weight to her good leg so she could hold the map in both hands. Her eyes scanned over the second floor, and she pointed. "Second floor, room 223. How did my name get on here?" She didn't remember booking a vacation, or...whatever this was.

Folding the map, she couldn't help but smile at his annunciation of the word. "It's advil, a type of medication that takes away inflammation." She lifted a shoulder, "I hope so. I just...need something." She canted her head to the side, her brows drawing together again. "Ashu-san? Gods?" She let out a short laugh. "I don't think I can agree with that either." She shook her head, and let out another short laugh. There were no such things as gods, not at least in her mind. She was logical, and gods did not fit into the equation of logical things. "Something with power?" She mused, thinking for a moment. It could've been a government experiment, like so many other things she saw. Great. They'd have another Olduvia massacre on their hands.

“That would be best. Sorry I cannot describe it any better then that.” He shrugged slightly with one shoulder still ready to take on her weight if needed at any point. He helped her up and kept a hand out to study her balance. Nodding at the floor number read off, he was glad it wasn’t all the way up on the third. “That should not be too hard then. Only one flight of steps.”

He understood her complaint about her name already being on the map, he had felt similar in ways when reading his own. “We do not know. Ours were the same way. With our names written in each language too. It seems there is no barrier up on spoken words, but writing is still written how it should be in our languages. As for the maps….Once you go in your room it may be more explained. Someone is involved in this. Someone that knows a lot about us.” He warned.

“I see.” He still had never heard of the apparent drug. “Our…medics take care of those things. I do not think I have anything that specifically targets that. If there is time, I could help you search the place to see if any is here. That is if you can describe what it looks like.”

Once he felt she was ready to move, he slowly led her towards the staircase, Taking the first step himself and allowing her to use him as a type of second railing. “Is there anything else you need me to look for?”

Samantha shook her head, "Don't worry about it. You probably don't believe me either, so we're even huh?" She looked over at him, smiling a little. There was something about him, something that she couldn't put her finger on but he felt like...military. Yeah, they were going to have another Olduvia on their hands. Fun. "Yeah, one long flight of stairs." She eyed them carefully, and then raised a brow as he started talking.

"We?" She asked curiously, "How many are already here? Wherever here is." Her brows furrowed, and she thought as he continued speaking. "That's impossible, or at least it's not probable. If everyone here speaks a different language, then we'd have a modern day Babel." That had gone over well too. Damn, they were in some serious stuff here. She nodded, and then glanced back over at him. "Ok." She was at a loss for words, which was very odd for the doctor.

So he was some sort of military. Things just really kept getting better and better. Shaking her head, she offered him a slight smile. "We'll just see when I get up there. Hopefully there will be something a little strong than that, but if not I might take you up on the offer."

She followed, slowly a prominent limp to her gait. One hand on the rail and the other on his arm to steady herself she started the 'long' trek up the staircase. "I can't think of anything at the moment. All I really want is a hot bath, sleep and medication." She laughed softly, "But thank you." She smiled, still taking the steps one at a time and very slowly.

When they reached the first landing she paused for a moment, looking back down at the fountain in the foyer. "It sure is beautiful." It was hard, extremely hard for her to believe that gods had brought them there. In her mind, it had to be a military experiment. Just like Chromosome 24 had been. She turned her gaze back to Kakashi, "Have you noticed any...grotesque...things here? Big, they walk around on two legs like men, well they are men but anyway," She waved her free hand, closing her eyes for a moment as she tried to think of the best way to describe the imps. "They look like nothing but pure muscle, superhuman strength, and speed." Her eyes searched his face for the answer she sought. "You haven't seen anything like that come through the gate have you?"

“Well....it is a little hard to believe traveling between stars. So I guess we are on equal grounds.” He continued to hold out a hand to support her. “There are now four of us, including you and myself, that I have met. Ashu-san and Regorusu-san...?” He wasn’t sure if he had pronounced that properly or not. “They arrived around the same time that I had. The other two did mention there being a few others, but none have shown themselves yet.” He paused at her mention of a Babel. “What is that?”

He gave her a moment to relax and slow down once they made it to the top. Glancing down either hall he quickly located her door. “Your room is just a little ways more down this hall when you are ready.” He looked down over the railing at her comment. It was hard for him to think of the fountain in such a way. There was just something wrong about it that unsettled him. “Maybe. If you like it, the view on the third floor is even better.”

Kakashi took a moment to think. His eye twitched at the scenes that the description brought up. He’d been unfortunate to come across some of Orochimaru’s experiments during resent missions. Those ninja certainly could fit her grotesque description, though he doubted that was what she was talking about. Yes they were mostly bulging muscles and often had inhuman speed, but it was obvious what they had once been. Poor ninja coned into the Orochi’s lies. Shaking his head he responded, “You are the first to come through the gate. Nothing else has come through, that I know of at least.” He was going to have to rethink his approach to things coming through if such things could possibly come. “Am I correct in assuming that these things would be hostile to us?”

Dr. Grimm nodded, "Yeah." She tilted her head slowly to the side, still watching where her feet fell but listened to him as he spoke. The names were odd, to say the least, but then again to them her name was probably odd. "Others?" She shook her head, not sure if she liked this or not but what could she really do about it? Not a hell of a lot that was for sure. She blinked as he asked what Babel was and her brows knitted. "It's a story from the Bible. The people of Babel were building a tower to heaven because they wanted a 'celebrated name' for the builders. The Lord didn't like it apparently, confused their languages and scattered the people to all different places on the Earth. Which is why we supposedly have different languages."

She nodded slowly as he talked, "Alright." She smiled slightly, and shook her head. "Maybe one day, but not today. I'm going to have to take it easy so I don't hurt myself further." She was going to have to figure out a way to get back home, back to her brother.

Samantha's eyebrows rose slightly as she caught the slight twitching movement. She looked away, letting out a long breath. So either he'd seen the imps, and knew what she was talking about or he'd seen something else entirely. She didn't really want to know either way, all she could pray for was a good night's sleep and the hopes of no monsters invading her dreams. She let out a sigh of realif, and the features of her face relaxed noticeably. "Good, you don't know how happy I am to hear that." She started slowly towards her room, looking up at him and nodded her head. "Very hostile. Those they don't infect they typically kill for the others to feed on until the others fully change." She shuddered, eyes closing for a moment.

Once they'd reached her door, she reached put the key into the lock and turned it. Opening up her door, she raised a brow at the room. It was just like her room back on Olduvia. The walls were cream, the floor was tan, and tiled. Where her sitting room should've been there were all manners of machines, lab equipment and there was Lucy the first find humanoid find they'd made on Olduvia. Her breath caught as she looked around, there were even vials of Chromosome 24. She couldn't believe it. "How...why..." She took a step back from her room, not sure if she really wanted to go into it or not.

“…..afraid I do not know what a Baiboru is either.” He rubbed the back of his head with his free hand a little embarrassed that he had no clue what all these things were that she was mentioning. And here he was suppose to be a genius. At least that’s what everyone else says. He never called himself that anymore having learned otherwise a long time ago. He listened to her explanation of what he assumed was just a story. Of course seeing as he still wasn’t one to really believe in all mighty powers, he wasn’t sure if he should believe the story to be true or not. “I do not think this will be quite like that. More like, a universal translator is in place translating what we say. We feel it will probably be taken away at some point forcing us to have to learn to understand one another without words to help.”

He nodded in agreement. She did need to rest and relax so her leg could heal. Wishing he’d paid more attention to precise chakra control so he could do basic medical jutsus. He felt helpless at the moment, a feeling he absolutely hated. Focused on her more intently with the new information, his eye narrowed. “Feed on? These things are animals then? Is there something that they are week against? Any week points on the body?” It was best if he learned all he could about them so he could strategize a way of fighting them if he ever met one. Know your enemy before engaging in battle, or expect to die. “Are they in teams, or fight on their own? How large?” He paused knowing he was bombarding her with questions she probably didn’t want to answer.

As soon as they reached her door and she placed the key in it, Kakashi turned the other way to give her privacy knowing some would be like him not wanting their secrets known by others, and these rooms he felt would always be holding secrets of theirs. “So it is the same with yours? Like I said. Who ever did this knows us. Knows us too well.” He muttered the last still pissed about opening the door and finding his pictures there. It meant someone had broken into his home and taken them even with all the security up. Hopefully they hadn’t found his locked hidden hole where he stored things no one was to find. But that was why he still hadn’t gone through the draws. He didn’t want to know at what extent they really knew him. “Sorry. We still do not know how.”

Dr. Grimm's brows rose, "It's a religious text of the one true God in my world." Not that she believed it herself, but there were plenty of other people who did. She let out a sigh, "He was the one who tore down the Tower of Babel." She lifted a shoulder, and raised a brow at him. Slowly she nodded, "So it is possible for that to disappear. Hopefully it won't fail, or at least that'd be nice."

Samantha closed her eyes, and slowly shook her head. "Something to that effect." Opening her eyes she raised a brow at him, "They are super strong, and it takes a lot of hits to get them down." She remembered how much ammo the Marines had to pump into the creatures. "But they were once human, so severing the spinal cord and any straight head shots to the brain should work more effectively for taking them down." She reached up, running a hand over her hair. "Fight on their own, but they multiply quick. They infect a person by launching their tongue at them and piercing the side of the neck." Reaching up she placed two fingers above the pulse point on the side of her throat. "They infect them with a synthetic chromosome called Chromosome 24. We found it on Olduvia, in...Lucy." She waved a hand towards the humanoid and let out a sigh. "For her it made her super strong, super fast, and she healed almost instantly. Some it didn't work that way on, and turned them into monsters. It was the reason they built the Ark, or at least that's what we believe." Her brows furrowed. How big had they been? The Baron had easily been 8+ feet, and the Imps were around 7+ but slimmer. "One was at least eight feet tall, and extremely broad chested. The other ones were smaller than him. About seven feet tall, and lean built. They were like soldiers and the big one was like their general."

Slowly she looked back into her room, before she started in. Everything was there. All of the research from Olduvia, all of the data she was supposed to collect, everything. "Yeah, except I've got my lab in my bedroom." She nodded, placing a hand on the metal counter top near where the vials were at. She wanted to get rid of them. "I seriously need some security for in here. If these fall into the wrong hands...it'll be really bad." She worried her bottom lip with her teeth, and then looked over at him. "It's alright. I'm sure that with a collective effort we'll have it all figured out."

“I think our two….worlds are very different.” He came to the conclusion that they really had to have come from two different places. None of the countries he ever traveled to had any religion called that. And she was proving that she didn’t have a concussion or hallucinations. It was just like with the other two. Similarity in their homes, but oh so different.

He tried to categories the effectiveness of his attacks in those areas. The raikiri would be the most effective of course. A single thrust to the head or back. Though with that attack he could only take out two or three at the most and from the sounds of it there were a lot more then that. “Is there an element they are week against? Water? Fire? Lightning?” There had to be other ways to stop them then just brut force.

Taking her talking of her room as a sign that it was alright for him to turn around and look, He studied the lab equipment intently. It was similar to what one might find in the hospital, the Nara research facility, or in a curtain snake’s den. He stared at Lucy now really curious and creped out at the same time. Talk about skeletons in one’s closet. He thought to himself as he got the urge to see it with the sharingan but didn’t as she would probably notice the difference in his eyes quickly. Stepping closer to the skeletons, he listened to her explanation carefully. “In the end, that strength did not help her.” He cocked his head at the child skeleton. “The child went first?” He glanced over at her coming to his own conclusion. It only made sense if this 'Lucy' was able to heal quickly. Unless the child was able to as well, but the bones looked more exposed. He was reminded of the jinchuuriki and their abilities. Was it possible that all this she talked of was due to a biiju? No, it wasn’t their style of tactics unless controlled by someone.

“It seems the security was left up to ourselves.” He glanced at all the equipment on the table. “For now I would suggest staying with the equipment till that can be arranged. I could set something up, but that would mean you would have to trust me.” Saying this he turned and looked back at her. “It is up to you.”

"Sounds like." Samantha agreed with him, brows furrowing slightly. She wanted to find out more about his home, but she would ask those questions later. He didn't really seem to want to answer them now.

She pursed her lips in thought for a moment, pulling out a computer chair and sitting down in it. She stretched her leg out in front of her with a grimace and a groan. "Fire is the only one I know of. Unless it's an actual bolt of lightning." The cage at the research center had been electrified and hadn't held the monster at bay for very long.

Dr. Grimm watched him as he walked into the room, not really caring that he was in there. She loved talking about her work, about what they'd found. Then again it did bring back painful memories of losing her brother after seeing him for only a short time. "No, the monsters were more powerful...apparently. Or she was taken by surprise." She looked over at him and lifted a shoulder. "We don't really know, but it is possible that the child did die first."

Letting out a sigh she reached up and rubbed her temple. She nodded slowly, worrying her bottom lip with her teeth. "I appreciate the offer, but there should be something here that I can use for security." Surely since her room was like the one she'd had on Olduvia there would be some sort of security in place, or something that she could use to set up said security. "Thank you, Kakashi. I appreciate everything you have done." She smiled softly, something the good doctor rarely ever did.

“So a charge dose nothing to them? But a direct current could?” That ruled out hoping to use one attack to take out many. Fire it would be then.

He glanced back at the skeletons again. “I think it did. The bones look more exposed.” He muttered a bit drawing on years of experience in determining death causes and timings, a subject one never wanted to explain how they learned but find it useful all the time. Studying them for a little longer, it creeped him out to think of how fast she must of died to die in that position. Would he even be able to activate the raikari in time? The only thing he felt would give him an advantage was the sharingan, but that would only be if he could get it exposed in time.

Nodded he reluctantly turned back towards the door realizing she probably wanted to be left alone now. “Hopefully there are pain killers in here for you. I will bring down some of what I have just in case you need it, if you would like?” He nodded in responce to her thanks.

"There was a holding cell in the facility." Samantha started, running a hand over her hair. She propped her elbow on the counter-top, cradling her chin in her hand and tapped her fingers against her cheek. "The walls were covered with chain link fencing, and they were electrified. Now, how much the current was, I can't tell you. Probably not enough to kill anyone, but enough to keep them from wanting to get out." Her brows knitted a little, and she shook her head.

Her dark gaze slid over to the skeletons, and she pursed her lips in thought. She gave a half smirk, "I'd thought the same thing, honestly, but no one on my team believed me." She lifted a shoulder, her free hand on her leg, rubbing slowly at the muscles that ached.

She nodded, "You're not the only one who hopes so." With that she pushed herself up with a grunt, "That would be nice, if you don't mind." She smiled again and stood there with all of her weight on her good leg. A wave of tiredness swept through her body, she was coming down off of her adrenaline rush, and her body had started aching in places she didn't know could ache. She didn't want to push him out the door, in fact, she didn't know if she really wanted to be left alone or not, but she one didn't want to impose on someone she'd just met, and two she didn't really trust him yet. She wished John, or Duke was there. Even though she knew there was no way possible that the latter would show up.

“Then we will just have to use one meant to kill.” He meant for it to sound more like a joke then an obvious statement on how a none lethal blow would never work. It failed.

His curiosity perked when she mentioned being on a team but he shook his head knowing not to pry into that or else that would give her the rights to pry into his own. “I do not know why they would not believe you. It is pretty obvious they both died very quickly. And with what you were saying of the mother, the baby would have gone first….” He quickly dropped those thoughts and walked out the door the rest of the way only to turn back and rest his hand on the knob.

“I will leave the bottle outside your door. If you need anything, my room is 300.” He gave her a small smile with his visible eye as a thanks for entertaining his questions for so long. “Get some rest.” With that he closed the door behind him and made his way up to his room. He knew where the pain killers where and how much she would need. The problem was, he only had one bottle. Once there he dragged his pack out bringing out the drugs and more gauze for her to use. He found a cup to poor the extra pills into. Too many of them could kill someone and he didn’t need anyone trying to do that with drugs he provided. Capping the last few pills in the bottle, he drew a quick picture try to explain that if she did use them, only one pill a day. He doubted that she could read his writing, no matter how neatly he wrote it.

Glancing out the window to see the time, he grabbed up the supplies and left to go leave it by her door. It was getting late. High time he found some place quit to check out those new books in his room.
