Sirius felt like he was about to burst with happiness. The only thing that could’ve made this moment better was being with his mates. A frown darkened his features for a moment, sadness coursing through his body at the very thought of James and Lily being dead. It was almost more than he could bear, but he knew that they’d died protecting their son.
With a sigh he shook himself mentally and decided to not let these memories haunt him for the time being. He’d deal with his emotions later, right now he had fine company who seemed to enjoy this almost as much as he was.
“It is isn’t it? Merlin, to think I thought the mansion was cruel.” He chuckled softly and then canted his head to the side as she held out a gift to him.
“Don’t call me sir, makes me fell old. Call me Sirius.” He gave her a wink and then took the package from her hands gently.
His brows shot up in surprise, “Never heard of hot chocolate either!” His voice was laced with disbelief as his mouth dropped open. “We’ll have to remedy that.” He thought really hard, already learning the trick to getting what one wanted in the mansion. Two steaming mugs appeared on the desk, and Sirius eyed them for a moment. “We’ll let them cool down, no need in burning ourselves.” He nodded, ripping into his gift.
