April 16th, Sirius Black and OTA
Who?: Sirius Black and OTA
What?: Opening his gifts, since he does love Christmas
When?: Early morning, like 5AM
Where?: In the Foyer
Rating?: TBD
Status? In progress

Sirius woke up shivering underneath his covers, his breath fogging the cold air around him every time he exhaled. “What the hell?” He murmured, running his hands over his face and shivering once again. Slipping out of bed, he rolled his eyes after he yelped when his feet touched the floor.

“Jesus…” He murmured, carefully making his way to his bathroom. After he used the facilities, he dressed in several thick layers. “No bloody reason to get a cold.” He shook his head, and pocketed his key, map and wand. Opening up his door he slipped out, shoving his hands down into the pockets of his jeans and trotted off. There really wasn’t anywhere Sirius wanted to go, except maybe down to the kitchen to see if they had any Butterbeer. He knew that would warm his insides nicely.

Going down to the kitchen, he paused when he saw the large Christmas tree in the foyer near the frozen over fountain. A smile pulled up the corners of his lips. He loved Christmas. Going over to the tree he noticed the mound of gifts, and canted his head to the side as he saw his name printed on one of the tags. His brows furrowed for a moment, and kneeling down he grabbed up the first one he saw.

Paper flew until he had the plain brown box bare. He chuckled softly, opening it on up. “Brilliant!” He exclaimed, pulling the soft leather jacket from the box. It was almost exactly like his back at his flat, and quickly he pulled it on. It fit perfectly. “What else do we have here?” Sirius smirked, leaning forward and going through the gifts to see if anymore were for him.

Story turned the map around in her hands again, her brow knitting further together. The light fabric of the silky robe--compliments of her strangely comforting room--swished lightly against her legs, the weight of her room key tapping her thigh. The floor was so cold.

It was overly frustrating, how she..could not read a simple..large, strangely marked and folded piece of paper. She wasn't entirely sure why she went out again, after arriving so soon...

Cabin fever. She would have gone mad, staying in her room for too long. Thinking about her people, the great bird...Cleaveland...so, she set off. It was a useful thing, finding out about the place she was currently trapped in. After all, gentle Legolas did call it an adventure...adventures could be fun, couldn't they? The ice and snow was certainly interesting to see, though she could have happily lived without it.

When she finally did make her way to the foyer, she could help a smile. Well, she had found -something- she could recognize on the map! And all at once, she was taken by the large, decorated tree..she walked near it, as if in a trance. Oh, it shined, it was so, so very beautiful...what sort of tradition was this..?

Meanwhile, Sirius was tucked under the tree, the only thing visible was his arse that wiggled like a puppy’s tail when they’re happy. Finally he pulled himself out from underneath it, a box in his hands and with a happy laugh he tore into the paper before he paused.

He canted his head to the side, and then turned around to look behind him. His brows furrowed as he watched the woman near the tree and he moved a little bit out of her way just so she wouldn’t trip over him. He stood package still in his hands, and watched her with a smile.

Sirius loved Christmas so much, and honestly thought that every day it should be Christmas. But this young woman acted as if she’d never seen a Christmas tree before. The thought saddened Sirius greatly, and his lips turned down into a slight frown. Everyone should know about Christmas.

He took a small step forward, not wanting to scare her whatsoever. “Have you never seen a Christmas tree before, love?” He raised a brow, offering her a gentle smile. She was after all female, and Sirius didn’t really fancy scaring any of the women away from him. “I’m Sirius, Sirius Black. You are?”

She reached out to touch one of the fragile baubles, when she heard his voice. Story turned, clutching her map. Now, this -was- man. Though, there was something peculiar about him, she couldn't quite put her finger on.

She looked at the tree again, in all it's splendor and lightly shook her head. She remembered the word from her studies, and the birth of the human Savior...but nothing about trees. And lights.

She reached out again, lightly touching the spindles of a branch, turning her eyes to him.

"S..Sirius..your name means 'Star of the dog'..Story.."

Sirius canted his head to the side, watching her for a moment and frowned once again. Never seeing a Christmas tree? That was just wrong. His frown melted once again into a gentle smile, and his brows rose at her statement.

Very few people knew that about his name, and hers was…Story?

He nodded his head, his smile turning into a bright grin. “Yes, that’s exactly what it means. My family has a thing about naming their children after stars.” He shrugged his shoulders and laughed softly. “So your name is Story, yeah?” He sat down his package, and kneeled down in front of the tree.

“Let’s see what we can find here.” He pursed his lips, flipping over tags or glancing at them until he found one with the name Story printed in beautiful gold lettering. Picking up the package he held it out to her. “Here you are.” His grin was still planted on his face, innocent and childlike.

She liked his laugh. She had heard few humans laugh in her short stay with Cleaveland. His would always be her favorite, but she liked this peculiar young man's laugh..and his smile. It reached all the way to his eyes.

She nodded a little absently, confirming her name, looking up, up, up, gazing at the top of the tree. Was that...a star..?

Story whipped her head to him again, and stared at the brightly packaged gift. The paper itself was beautiful..she looked at the ripped and thrown paper around Sirius--one is to..open it. Hesitantly, she reached out to touch it. Then, she lightly climbed down to her knees, still in awe. A gift? Really?

"...for..me? Who is the giver..?"

Grey eyes followed hers to the top of the tree, and Sirius smiled happily. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” He honestly couldn’t help but be overjoyed at the prospect of having Christmas. He loved the holiday so much.

He watched her in amazement and curiousness as she stared at the package. He couldn’t help but wonder exactly where she’d come from to have never seen such a thing before.

He nodded his head, “Aye, has your name on it.” Sirius pursed his lips in thought for a moment and then shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know. I suppose the mansion is?” It seemed logical enough to him. “I’ve found two so far with my name on them, so I reckon there are a few more.” He sat down Indian-style across from her, pulling his own package into his lap. Pulling the tape away so he could get into it, he let out another laugh. “Brilliant!” He wiggled a little bit with joy as he pulled out several records that were still in the plastic wrapping. “The Rolling Stones, The Who…Oh, who ever did this is amazing.” He was nothing but smiles.

“What’d you get?” He asked, nodding towards her package.

She nodded a little more enthusiastically--really, it's beauty was astounding, all the lights, and the ornate bulbs and sparkling things...

Story watched as he opened his gift..rolling stones? That didn't look like a stone at all...it was flat, and made of stiff paper. But it certainly seemed to leave him happy!

Story blinked and looked down at her gift. She turned it over in her hands to find a place to rip into the paper. She almost felt guilty over it, the packaging was so lovely..as a last minute thought, she decided to keep the bow.

There, inside, she lifted a necklace, the charm a goodly sized heart, embedded with crystals. She spun the chain between her fingers, the heart twirling around, casting it's light in sparkles. The narf stared in wonder, a hidden smile pulling at her mouth.

"...I adore it..."

Sirius gave a wide grin at her nod, knowing exactly how she felt. He was just absolutely giddy at the thought of having Christmas in…

His brows furrowed for a moment in thought and he wondered what month it was exactly. Oh well, those were questions best left for another day in his opinion.

He smiled as she opened her package, his eyes watching as she pulled the necklace out. “Bloody brilliant this is.” He nodded, “That is quite beautiful.” He smiled, glancing back over at the tree and getting up on his knees he looked around a bit more.

“There has to be more.” He murmured, going back underneath the tree until a loud ‘Ah-ha!’ was heard and he pulled himself out from underneath it once again. “Another one for you.” He held it out to her, giving her a smile once more. “Let’s see…I’ve gotten two so far…” He pursed his lips, looking over the name tags. There were some he recognized from his map and some that seemed foreign to him. He found another one with her name on it, and moved it over to her.

“The only thing that could make this better would be some hot chocolate.” He licked his lips at the thought of hot chocolate from Hogsmeade.

Story dropped the necklace into her hand, and hugged it to her chest. She had found something like this, what felt like so long ago, at The Cove. But this, this was hers. It was a gift. She would cherish it forever.

Story tilted her head to watch Sirius. He had an energy like that of Anna, Vick's sister...he lit this room, filled it, just as bright as the decorated tree did. She almost jumped at the 'Ah-hah!', and smiled as another gift was given to her.

"..so generous..."

She placed it by her knee, and took the third as it was pushed to her. Story looked over the large mound of gifts by her hip and started turning over a few nametags.

S...S...she went through man's alphabet a few times, to make sure she wasn't making any mistakes.

"...S...i..r..This--This is yours..." She held it out to him with something of a smile.

"What...is hot chocolate?"

Sirius felt like he was about to burst with happiness. The only thing that could’ve made this moment better was being with his mates. A frown darkened his features for a moment, sadness coursing through his body at the very thought of James and Lily being dead. It was almost more than he could bear, but he knew that they’d died protecting their son.

With a sigh he shook himself mentally and decided to not let these memories haunt him for the time being. He’d deal with his emotions later, right now he had fine company who seemed to enjoy this almost as much as he was.

“It is isn’t it? Merlin, to think I thought the mansion was cruel.” He chuckled softly and then canted his head to the side as she held out a gift to him.

“Don’t call me sir, makes me fell old. Call me Sirius.” He gave her a wink and then took the package from her hands gently.

His brows shot up in surprise, “Never heard of hot chocolate either!” His voice was laced with disbelief as his mouth dropped open. “We’ll have to remedy that.” He thought really hard, already learning the trick to getting what one wanted in the mansion. Two steaming mugs appeared on the desk, and Sirius eyed them for a moment. “We’ll let them cool down, no need in burning ourselves.” He nodded, ripping into his gift.
