Between the two of us, we have a combined twenty years RP experience -- most of it together. We've been in games running from anime fandoms to HP fandom to a whole armada of non-fandom games, and we learned firsthand how hard it can be to choose a good PB, one that isn't overused, but is still well-known enough to find decent icons.

spazzula started keeping a huge, ginormous collection of icon bases on Photobucket, and shared them with anyone who was having trouble finding a PB.

chasingkerouac was better at making them pretty, though, so with our powers combined -- well, you get the idea.

About the community:

painted_veil was started as a way for us to share the PB icons that we've had to make for our own personal use. After a while, they start to pile up, and we figured we may as well make them available for others to use, as well. Icons posted here will be cropped, resized, cleaned up, and color-calibrated to the best of our ability; they are NOT bases, and shouldn't be treated as such.

All posts in this community will remain public; we don't want to be forced to friendslock our entries and make it that much harder for you to find the icons you need, so please read our rules, respect them, and we'll get along just fine.
