so, the family/friends know you're pagan....
Either they've asked the obvious question, or you "came out." So, what next?
If it was a surprise, what was the family reaction?
If it's common knowledge, how well do they accept your faith?

My dad laughed in my face, but my mom is pretty supportive once I told her I wasn't going to put a curse on her XD And that led me to explain things and she's cool about it.

Family: My mom's a Catholic fundie, so she'll never know about it. It's better that way because she'd just give me a headache and I don't want to deal with that. My brothers know, they're cool about it - I never told them outright, but they figured it out with the stuff I bought and some of the books I had in my room.
Friends: Cool about it. We're all different when it comes to religion/spirituality and accept/respect each other just fine.

(Sorry for the repost.)
My mother and one of my brothers more or less share my faith, one brother thinks it's ridiculous, the others are neutral or believes in similar things.
Those of my friends who knows mostly just shrug - they don't care what others believe in. Some of my friends share the same faith as me.
So I'd say that people accept it well in general. But then again, I live in Sweden - people here don't seem to care that much about what you believe in or don't believe in.

Well, of the few who know...Mom just rolls her eyes, Dad and Stepmom and one sister think daughter and I are evil. My ex is tolerant. Hubby accepts it-- he is christian. Oldest son is cool with it and youngest son doesn't care. Hubby's boys don't care. Most of my closest friends are pagans--and are also the ones responsible for helping me see that the life of oppression needed to end. The other close freinds are cool with it. The rest of the family can bite me.

Luckily, my parents were old hippies, so they we're very accepting and supportive. I got no grief whatsoever and it wasn't uncommon to get nice books on the subject as birthday/christmas gifts.
Friends- when I was younger I didn't have many because I was pegged as the "weirdo" and was the laughing stock of the school. The one friend I had was fine with it, however, much to my horror and dismay, she'd been telling people I was a "Satanist". (I'm from a very small town, so you can imagine the stigma attached and associated to me.)
Now that I'm older (I'm thirty years old), the friends I have are more open-minded and accepting than those you generally encounter in a high school setting. I haven't had any problems or issues with it, just had to explain a few things on occasion to a couple people who either didn't get it or wasn't sure what it was about.

Seeing as I lost most of my family when I "came out" as queer, my mom (the only family member that I have any frequent contact with) told me "I was wondering when you'd get into Wicca!" So... yep, she wasn't all that surprised.
My mom's pretty accepting. I'm accepting of her Lycan faith as well. ^_^

I got outed, so things were a little hairy at home for a few weeks. It would've been much longer, but after a five-year period of absolute hell when my older sister said she wanted to STUDY Wicca--nevermind actually choosing it as her path!--I set my foot down and laid out some ground rules for reestablishing communication. It was tough, but things have been worked out. Parents don't exactly approve of my beliefs, but so long as I don't rub it in their face or bring it into their home, they're not going to raise a fuss. Both sisters are fine with it.
Friends? They knew, and they were pretty cool with it. Husband's cool with it. I have an ex who's not happy about it, but we don't really talk much anymore, anyway.
