own_the_sun! ^__^ If you've been looking for a fun, low-pressure RP comm, then you've come to the right place! Here are the basics about this community:

The Setting: California (your character can travel anywhere, however most activity is going to be centered in Los Angeles)

The Genre: Alternate Universe (AU)

The Players: Asian celebrities given alternate lifestyles

How we play: Role-play, paragraph over journal style

CLAIMING

Simply follow this format:

Are they an actor, model, musician or athlete?
What is your character doing in LA? What's a bit of their history? What do they want to do? (Please put this behind an lj cut)

We maintain however, that the important thing is we should know 1) how old they are, 2) what they do for a living or if they're still going to school and 3) what they do in their spare time. We also suggest you save your claim posts in your memories so you can cross-check it from time to time to avoid deviating from the character you've set for your claim. It's just being practical, we don't want any issues to rise up because of something like this so... ^_^;;]</lj-cut>

RULES

1) ABSOLUTELY NO BULLYING. This, unfortunately, gives someone like me a migraine. And I HATE that. I hate being caught in the middle of something like that. Whether it be you're annoyed at someone in the game or you're annoyed at a particular person's characterization of your favorite celebrity, NO BASHING. Because that totally defeats the purpose of AU. We all know your favorite actor is straight IRL and is a primadonna but just because someone goes and makes him a flaming homosexual and a crybaby in this comm doesn't give you any license whatsoever to attack the player. IN ANY FORM. Incidents of bullying will be reported immediately to the moderators. And depending on the gravity of it, the following disciplinary actions will be enforced:

# 1st offense - written warning from the moderators, 2 weeks monitored posting
# 2nd offense - written warning, 3 days suspension (meaning, you will be blocked from posting on this comm)
# 3rd offense - you will be asked to kindly leave the game. Why? Because like I said before, I don't like bullying. Are we clear on that?

2) We've said that we are a low-pressure comm and we are sticking to that. Members are only required to post a minimum of 2 or 3 journal posts per month. We all have lives outside of the RP, we're all busy with either school or work. We are not requiring you to update regularly. It's up to you if you want to stay on or go. Also, please bear in mind that we live in different timezones and RPing MAY be a little difficult. However, if you are willing to work around that, then we see no reason for you not to have fun here. Again, please keep your characters as active as possible for you. We're not asking that you post everyday, but twice or thrice a month is the minimum, just to let us know you're still alive and want in.

Of course, in the event that you decide to leave, PLEASE notify the mods. We promise we won't bite your head off or send assassins after you, life can get pretty crazy after all. ^_^

3) Please note that before you interact with other players, you need to wait for the mods' approval. Any of the three mods can review your claim post and once they reply to it and approve your application, ONLY THEN CAN YOU RP. We don't want other players also to have their groove disrupted by the sudden appearance of so and so.

4) Before you make another claim, please try to make sure your current character's background as well as the new character's background has been developed. We prefer to allow at least three to four weeks to have passed, not just for us to be able to judge whether you can handle another muse or not, but also for your sake. We don't want you to get stressed managing five muses all at once because you claimed one too many. Please be as believable as possible in your RPing, please do not stick too close to your muses' RL counterparts. Also, make sure to check the reserved characters list to make sure you're allowed to claim the muse you want. :)
